Nolan gave us a very reasonable quote for mounting a 65" TV over our fireplace. He even brought along a mount which he showed us was far superior to the somewhat flimsy one we had purchased at Sams and will be returning tomorrow. He showed us the mount's price on Best Buy's website and charged us the same amount. Due to the chimney area, and/or some other construction aspect of our 1980's era condo , it was not a straight forward job. I'm so glad I didn't try to do this myself. Overcoming the obstacle, Nolan spent extra time making sure the mount was solidly attached and that the TV was perfectly level. He had even brought along and installed a cordmate kit (which he sold to us at his cost) to conceal the wires running to our various devices. I was pleasantly surprised that he stuck with his original quote for labor which Im sure was based on considerably less time than he actually spent on our project. Thank you Nolan! We even talked about hiring him for a couple future projects.
My recommendation for Corey is unconditional. He began his first project with us in March of this year when when a friend recommended that he would be good help since I needed to get everything off of two decks in preparation for resurfacing. There were big old terracotta pots full of hard packed soil and the upper deck was up 3 stories. Corey figured out how to do this efficiently and kept up a brisk pace. Once the decks were finished he carried the new pots and all of the soil and new plants back up. Corey was careful to check in with me on coordination so that he could be back as soon as the deck was ready. Our next project was cleaning out the side yard including an old fence, construction debris from the project next door and overgrown plantings and material to go to hazardous waste dump. Corey was quick and organized, set up a system for sorting and brought a helper and huge truck to dispose of the stuff. Over the years I have tried to clean up this area but the project seemed overwhelming and no one knew how to attack it. Our house on Queen Anne Hill is 100 years old and there is always something that needs to be done. Corey has a key and I keep a list so he stops by when needed and takes care of things. A special recommendation for Corey is that my dog loves him and she is a very good judge of character.
He came right away. Only issue was the replacement glass and installation came in about 20% over estimate.
Fantastic find, I will use him again for any electrical project. He has a wealth of knowledge and works hard to make sure things are done right. He is extremely attentive and thoughtful with his work.
Good hard working employees, Excellent suggestions by Jorge that made a big difference in the outcome of the project. He knows his stuff but needs to remember to give estimates of added work so there are no surprises. I should have asked.
My contractor was great! He got in touch with me, came out and gave a free estimate, and did the job all within a few days of starting the process with pro.com. He provided me with a pre-estimate, which he came out very close to. He gave me the option of economical or fancy work (or really anywhere on the spectrum). I wanted economical, I care about function, not aesthetic, and he was able to do the job for much less than I was expecting and it still ended up looking great. I would absolutely use pro.com again, as well as the contractor they found for me.
Anthony worked on my project and gave helpful insights into other options I could do and was very understanding when I asked to change the scope of work half way through... Dave was awesome also, will definitely hire again because they made the whole experience easy and under budget
Pedro we great to work with. He came out on time and gave a reasonable estimate. He wrote up the estimate (The other people wouldn't do that) he estimated that the work would be completed in 2 days, he got it done in 1. He is very professional and I will have him do more for me
The process from estimate to project completion went smoothly. Dylan and Jason came over to give us an estimate to replace our knob and tube wiring in our old attic within two days of contacting them. They communicated their arrival time well and were flexible with our schedule. They walked us through some issues and helped us understand how our house is wired. Making extra effort to clarify my questions and suggest future improvements that can wait. The quote was agreed upon that night over the phone and they scheduled time with us immediately. Four days later they arrived as expected to complete the work. They accommodated my request to splice into the switches in the walls to avoid having to open them up pending our renovation in the new year. This saved us having further disruption to our home in the holidays. The only downside was some ceiling plaster which cracked as they were moving around in the attic. They even pointed it out. It is a quick fix but something that we didn't see happen during other work on our furnace or insulation in the past so are curious what was different about this job. They completed as expected on day 2. The wiring is clean and no garbage was left behind. All lights work as expected. The job came in on quote. Overall we're happy with the work and will ask them to return to help with future renovations or small jobs.
The final product was even better than we imagined. The estimate was provided to us on the same day as the first on-site visit and was the most affordable from other landscapers. Communication was clear and they were always on time. They kept the worksite clean at the end of each day. Couldn't ask for more!
Our experience with Hawaiian Construction was great! We wanted to remodel our kitchen. After four contractors came out and gave us pretty varying bids from people who didnt instill trust or confidence that they could do the job well we tried finding someone else through Thumbtack. They recommended Robert Black from Hawaiian Construction. I called him up and he was very professional and listened well. He came out to our house the next day and had some really good ideas with a fair price. He instilled confidence and trust for us right away. Robert and his wife Julie were very friendly, professional and did a great job. Every day when we came home from work, the construction supplies were always folded up neatly and tucked away in a corner. They cleaned up very well each day. The project was completed on time and done extremely well. We plan on using Hawaiian Construction for our next project and hopefully for each one going forward. We highly recommend Hawaiian Construction. Its difficult to find a good contractor and this is a real find. Sincerely, Kim Alger
R&R (and the owner Ricardo) was the main contractor that implemented my landscape plan (had a landscape architect draw this up separately). He came in with a fair bid and executed the following: 1.) Build of a block retaining wall with capstones 2.) Complete replacement of soil and mulch for the yard 3.) Planting of various species of trees and plants for the yard according to the landscape plan 4.) Installation of pavers and gravel where needed My property was not in an easily location (elevated) - so the work was back-breaking to haul up and down the stairs. His people did this without complaint and R&R was done 4 days before the final date promised on the landscaping. In addition to the landscaping, Ricardo (owner of R&R) is extremely knowledgeable about construction so is able to help you plan around future projects that you may want to put in place (e.g., pergolas). I wish I had known him before I bought my current fence as well. I would recommend R&R without hesitation.
Cedo was great to work with and did an excellent job tiling floors, building / tiling a custom shower and adding old bricks masonry onto an interior wall. He is extremely professional and goes to great lengths to make sure the work is as perfect as possible given the construction site conditions. My remodel turned out to be challenging because of the walls not being straight and the brick wall being very time consuming, but he was very gracious about any unforeseen obstacles and worked extremely hard to get the project finished. He was a very valuable thought partner each step of the way, and I ended up extending the original scope to include installing a backsplash, doors and trim. The end result looks spectacular and i would hire him again in a heartbeat!
Prestige Gardens and his owner Cully deserves my highest recommendation for the following reasons - Ownership: Cully owned the project to deliver on time and with quality Engagement: He kept me fully transparent of the progress and engaged me to suggest changes and even ask opinions on choice of materials. Quest for Quality: He looked around and identified the few things that he would like to do to ensure overall bigger value. He trimmed my backyard trees to the right size even when it was not in scope. He also indicated his displeasure on a few overgrown vegetation in my front yard (totally unrelated work) and offered to trim them without bothering for extra money. Timeliness: Our original estimate was within 7 to 10 days, he completed in 7 days. Proper closure: Post project during the walkthrough we identified a few gaps. While some were by myself, a few were noted by him. With trust, I paid him the second and the last payment but he did appear again a few days later to close the gaps. This included buying some extra materials (pavers, glues, sand) as well as labor. Professionalism: He is the only person amongst 6 other contractors I talked to, who provided me a proper hand drawn sketch with exact sizes, and a detailed breakdown of the cost. His talk and all dealings were sincere and professional. He and his crew were meticulous and hard working. Can work in uncertainties: Our project included dismantling a deck and we were not sure of the ground below it. With certain assumptions we came up with the original estimate. After dismantling the deck, we found that there was hard concrete below and big roots under the soil and concrete. This needed extra work and material. He discussed with me the contingency plans but kept costs in control and did not charge me an extra penny.
Michael and sound pacific are the best! I'm a real estate investor and have used them for one of my most resent renovation project. The renovation was everything from floor to ceiling, bathroom to kitchen and they did a great job. Easy to communicate and great attention to details. Definite be using them again.
Michael and his crew did a wonderful job of replacing my house all doors and windows, and baseboards. good job! I would definitely recommend this company and will be hiring Mjmax Construction again for my next project.
Working with Rodger was great. I appreciate his willingness to take on small projects with me as I need contractors/handymen off and on around my property. In addition to being cost-competitive, he was very thorough, demonstrated by; initial bid, onsite validation of bid, responsive start/completion of project, and quality work. I’ll hire this company in the future for sure.
I had a front door and screen installed and Craftsman Construction did an excellent job. They were so very professional and efficient, in addition to being very nice. I was so impressed that I have two other tasks that I hope to have started in January. And they cleaned up after themselves, wow! Craftsman Construction is definitely who you want to take care of any construction projects.
Great working with these guys, very knowledgeable and responsive to my ideas.wI'll use again in future projects.
Aaron remodeled my master bathroom for me and he did an excellent job. He was very helpful in the design process and his workmanship was excellent. He was upfront with cost and didn't exceed my budget. Thank you Aaron for doing such an outstanding job! I will definitely hire you again for my next project!
Brian and his crew did an outstanding job on my deck project. It was a somewhat complex job as it had two levels and the second level partially surrounded a pool area. The Ronin team worked with me and found the best solutions to a variety of portions of the decks that needed to be completely rebuilt and some that repairs could accomplish. Brian worked with me and kept the project on track and on budget so we could enjoy our decks as soon as the summer weather started. I would highly recommend Ronin Construction and would work with them again anytime.
