Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My teaching style is designed to meet the student where they are at, not the other way around. Students don't all learn the same way. I have considerable patience and flex. I encourage all students to have something specific in mind for where they want to go with the instrument. Success is much more likely. I get to work with many different people with different musical tastes. There is never a dull moment.

I started taking guitar lessons from Ford one month ago to learn finger picking and fudamentals. I am really happy with his method. He lets you choose the songs you like, he teaches you how to play them and in the same time you learn specific techniques. I think this is a very good method to motivate a student and to enjoy learning to play guitar. Actually as soon as the lesson is done I look forward the next lesson because I see myself progressing very quickly. Also he is always available to reply to email if you have any question. I definitely recommend Ford as a guitar teacher.

My son has taken guitar lessons from Ford for years, and could not be happier. He plays his guitar for hours a day now. Fords lessons are very specific to the student, and what they are trying to learn. He has a system, but doesn't hold the student to a strict book learned curriculum, but rather tailors the lessons to the student. We had to take a break, due to multiple other commitments, school, soccer, etc, but my son is very anxious to get back to learning with Ford this year. I have taken up bass, and am thinking about taking some bass lessons from him myself.

Ford’s guitar lessons are top notch. He has an easy style and gets you to playing right away. I was worried that I couldn’t be taught and Ford patience and perseverance has gotten me to play outside of my comfort zone. I like that he is flexible with his lesson times as my schedule sometimes conflicts our scheduled time. I highly recommend Lessons by Ford

I first had my son see him for a few years, but found myself drawn in and now weekly look forward to my own time with Ford. I have learned so much more than I had as a teenager. He works well with children as well as middle aged men. I refer to him as the "Lord of the Strings".

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I teach Guitar to beginner to advanced students in a variety of styles. Finger style jazz to alternative rock and most things in between including classical, brazilian and simple flamenco. All ages are welcome. I've taught from 5 - 80 yr olds with success. Also bass and ukulele lessons are available.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the teacher you pick has knowledge in the musical direction you want to go. How long have you been teaching is a good common Q. Also price isn't everything. My rate is very fair, and you get a lot for it. find out if the teacher follows a format or just teaches song. I teach note reading and tab. Get the teacher's view on which they teach and why.
