About

I moved to Seattle three months ago and, on a whim, signed up for music lessons with Chris. Piano lessons with him have been one of my favorite things about living in this city.

About

I have been taking piano lessons from Lauri for the past three years and feel very fortunate that she is my teacher. She always puts me at ease with her kindness and upbeat personality. As an adult who never had music lessons as a child, I wouldn't have imagined that I could have progressed this far in such a short period of time. Even my husband, who plays piano quite well, has commented positively on the quality of my playing. Even better, with Lauri's encouragement and guidance, he and I are now playing duets. It's great fun! I am so glad I took the plunge with piano lessons and am very lucky to have found Lauri.

About

Ben's expert piano technique and music theory knowledge, in combination with his easy going manner, patience, and sense of humor, have made my beginning adult piano lessons both fun and challenging! He encourages and compliments my efforts, gently corrects when necessary, and offers constructive feedback.

About

As a lifelong musician (piano & vocals) with 2 sons taking piano lessons, I feel extremely thankful to have found Mizue for a teacher and would highly recommend her. She is a patient and committed teacher who brings out the best in her students and my sons truly adore her. She encourages her students and goes "above and beyond",even doing new arrangements for songs that my children want to learn. In this way, students stay motivated and progress quickly. Honestly, I wish she had been my teacher 30 years ago!;-)

About

Elaine has been teaching 3 of my children piano lessons for 3 years now. She has since added a 4th. She is patient and encouraging yet firm. She makes sure they strive to do their best and teaches strong technique. She also include improv, ear training, and chords. Rather than just sticking to the books, Elaine is constantly coming up with fun, creative ways to reinforce the theory the kids are learning.

About

I've been taking piano lessons with Amy for six months. Amy is a masterful teacher. She is very patient and encouraging and makes things, like musical theories, very understandable. She has the ability to listen and understand where I am in my learning curve and adjust her lessons to my skill level. One thing I really like about learning with Amy is that her teaching is very organized and at the same time, she's always encouraging me to develop my own feelings and styles when playing a piece. This is a very interesting process during which I can try a lot and feel a stronger connection with the piece I'm playing. Amy always schedules a 15-min meeting before start teaching a new student. In the interview, she will learn about your skill level, learning goal and tell you more details about her teaching. If you are looking for a professional piano teacher, I highly recommend you to take a look at Amy’s website (http://www.amyenglesberg.com/) and schedule a meeting with her. You won’t be disappointed.

About

My son took piano lessons from Mr. Luke when he was 6/7 years old. Mr. Luke is a great teacher and he always wants to make the lessons fun for the younger students. He is open to trying different teaching methodologies depending on the student. He is also flexible with lesson times/dates, which helps a ton for busy parents and kids. Unfortunately we had to pause lessons as my son's interest in piano is not that great. Hope to start again soon.

About

Mariya was my piano teacher when I was a kid--from ages 8-18. I loved my piano lessons so much, I only stopped when I graduated from high school and moved away. I really can't speak highly enough of her skills as a teacher and a musician, or her warmth and kindness as a person. I learned so much about the piano and music in general, and I still play almost 15 years later. Thanks to Mariya I have this lovely lifelong hobby. We keep in touch a bit and I'm so pleased to know that Mariya is still teaching piano. I remember her as my favorite teacher of any subject and her lessons as the high point of my school years. She is truly a gem!

About

My 9 year old son has been taking piano lessons with Karin for 2 years. She has been a wonderful teacher for him and he is turning into quite the piano player. She is kind and patient, and has a great disposition to work with kids. My son really enjoys his lessons and time spent with Karin. I would highly recommend her to others looking for a piano teacher.
