My name is Lynn Drittenbas, I'm passionate about helping you improve your yoga practice, learn how to do yoga or recover from an injury. I began studying Yoga in 1974. I received my yoga teacher training in the early 1990's from Richard Schachtel, director of the Center for Yoga Seattle, who is a Master Iyengar Yoga teacher. I received my certification to teach Restorative Yoga from Judith Lasater, in 2001. I have an extensive dance background, a Holistic Health Certification, a BS degree in Physical Education and a MS degree in Chinese Medicine. All of the above studies have deepened my understanding of the physical body and helped me become an expert in the field of movement and body mechanics.
When I work with you one on one, I listen to what you tell me about any injuries/pain etc; and what your goals are. I tailor each class specifically to you. I look at your yoga poses and give you the specific feedback you need to improve each pose. or give you the specific yoga poses, you need to help you recover from an injury. We work slowly when necessary and I break down, as well as sequence all of the poses, so they are easy to learn. I draw from my extensive toolbox of different styles of yoga, movement and a deep understanding of the human body, to provide you with exactly what you need to receive from each class.. This approach to teaching yoga, reduces your chance of injury or helps you recover from injury, while it increases the benefits you receive and your ability to be successful.
As well as teaching in-person, I also teach yoga through a virtual platform. The feedback I have received from my virtual students, is that they enjoy this way of learning. It is convenient, private, and they learn very well this way. Virtual sessions are $50 for a 60 minute session. If you are interested in trying a virtual session to see if it is a good fit for you, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you! Lynn
