Manjari was my 7th grade son's tutor in math for the last semester of this school year. She was absolutely fantastic! Very professional but also able to relate to my son and make him feel comfortable. She really helped him understand some of the concepts that he was struggling with. His grade went up from C to B+, but more importantly, his confidence in his math abilities also grew. We plan to continue with her tutoring this next school year if she can. Thanks Manjari! :)
Al is fantastic! He has been tutoring both my son and daughter in high school math (Algebra 3/Trig) . Their confidence increased after their first session with Allen. He is knowledgeable, patient, and personable. My son -- once reluctant to see a tutor, now looks forward to his weekly session and most notable, they both passed their most recent math tests. Yeah!!! I highly recommend Al's Math Tutoring.
I recommend Will if you're looking for an excellent math tutor. I had a couple tutors that I tried out before going to Will. He has a certain learning style that makes it easy to understand the material. I'm a visual person so he was good at writing out steps and has patience when I'm trying to catch up to what he is teaching me. Currently my grade is over 102% in class (didn't think it can get any higher :) and a part of that is Will. Try him out, you don't regret it!
Great math tutor, so good that my child's grades went up quickly! She no longer thinks she's 'bad at math,' which is the idea she had gotten from every math teacher she'd had. Chris dispelled that and now she feels much better. Writing review so Chris gets more work :)
Kathy is a great and energetic math tutor. She explains the problems in a way that is easy to comprehend. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you understand the material and has outside sources for you to practice problem areas. After 1 session I had the foundation that I needed to be successful in College Algebra. Highly recommend.
I appreciate how Arbor Tutors really finds the best fit for their student.
Helina has been tutoring my daughter & her friend with Algebra. I'm already seeing a change in her confidence in math & makes it easy for them to understand. Thanks Helina!!!
Amazing math tutor for my 11 year old, and two other familly members in middle school and high school. Jim.s patience and understanding is evident as he arrives to each sesson well prepared to fit the individual students needs. I highly recommend Jim as a math tutor.
Learning Solutions provided the tutoring I needed to be able to complete my educational program. Kathi was knowledgeable in many areas of study that I needed help with and what she didn't know she was willing to research and bring back to our next session. She is flexible with your schedule and creates a friendly atmosphere where learning is more likely to occur. I would highly recommend Kathi to adults looking for tutoring for themselves and for their children.
Very knowledgeable and has great teaching and tutoring experience!

I'm generous, quick, and thorough. Fixing things and making relationships.
Hello! I have a heart for teaching, and I would love to do tutoring in music, writing, language, and computers. I do technical support for an Internet service provider called Skybeam, and so I'm very good with basic technical skills. I'm also in college, working through a primary education degree. I'm very knowledgeable about English and grammar, Microsoft processing, and all aspects of music (I was originally a music major for two semesters and taught music for two years to young students before that), so I have a lot of applicable knowledge in those areas. I'm friendly and fun, and I am willing to tutor whatever way works for you, and I will formulate lessons to fit your needs and learning style.

EXPERIENCE, COMPASSION & HELPING YOUR CHILD IMPROVE First, just FYI,I have opened a new account here on Thumbtack. A little about me would include how I went back to college in my 30's, because I wanted to make a difference in younger learners' lives! I finished up in 2003, and haven't 'looked back.' I have a teaching license, and 2 B.A. Degrees. One of my degrees is in Elementary Education and the other one is in Communications. Not only have I taught and tutored locally, but I instructed ESL/ELL overseas in Taiwan too! I hope to hear from you, so I can help your child improve! Thanks! - Bruce.
I currently teach high school algebra and geometry. I also teach algebra and geometry online as well. So I am able to help teach students face to face and online.
