We unfortunately only attended one of Bryan's drum lessons .(only because my four year old wouldn't practice). Bryan was great! He even had on Aladdin, upon us arriving which made my daughter extra comfortable. It was a great ice breaker for them to talk about. I would absolutely recommend Bryan to anyone needing drum lessons ages kids to adult.

Chris Korzin is an excellent teacher and drummer. As I was starting from no drumming background he made me comfortable and opened me up to learn all the many aspects of drumming. His teaching methods are great for all experience levels! As I reach my 5th year of drumming he still challenges and inspires me. Chis has been instrumental in my music career allowing me to take the ideas in my head and convey them through my drumming! No doubt, the choice for drum lessons in the Tacoma area!

Jason is an outstanding drum teacher. I have been taking lessons with him for a year now. He has taken me from a complete music beginner with no discernable rhythm to the point where I can read the music, HEAR the time of the music, play all kinds of neat rhythms and play my full drum kit along to songs. Jason is organized, passionate and focused on making sure you become the best drummer you can be.

I had Ed Mays as a drum teacher through most of high school and he was a very good teacher. He was caring about me as his pupil and did the best he could to make me into a better drummer all while making it fun.He is very calm and extremely trustworthy. He also taught me things other then just physical drumming. He taught me some amounts of drumming history and tons about music in general. If you want drum lessons he is definitely recommended.

Chris is a dedicated, creative drum teacher who knows his stuff! My 10 year old son loves learning with him, and has made steady progress since starting lessons about 6 months ago. Chris emphasizes developing good habits from the start, which has given my son an excellent foundation on which to build. One thing I really appreciate about Chris is that he's both firm, and totally supportive and encouraging. He also has a great sense of humor! I wholeheartedly recommend hiring Chris for drum lessons.

I really enjoy music lessons with Jacob, I've had several teachers and he is by far the easiest to work with and to learn from. He's a great guitar player and keeps the lessons fun, he also does a good job at making sure that what I'm practicing has something to do with what I'm interested in. I've had teachers in the past that did not make guitar interesting, Jacob is great, well worth the money! I'm much better than I was before I started with him.

I am super excited and really enjoying my lessons with Matthew. He gets to play with certified rockstars and when he's not performing -I can actually get lessons with him. He has music lessons very streamlined and breaks down things into smaller bite sized pieces I can absorb one piece at time & at my own pace. I love it. Lets Rock Out. I've heard that they call him "The Music Whisperer", I can see why. Thanks Matt -

Josh has filled in on drums for my band, Broken By Clouds, on numerous occasions. He's always punctual, prepared, proficient and probably quite a few other words that don't start with the letter "p".

Every lesson is designed for me based on my progression from the week prior. He is always available to speak even when I don't have lessons to offer additional help. What I teach and what you can to learn at Drum 4 Life Studios: * Drum set: Learn styles in rock, funk, jazz, Afro-Cuban and Afro-Latin, and world drumming; the application of the 40 snare rudiments to drum set, made into drum grooves, and use in drum fills and solos. * Drum set: 4-limb coordination and independence, applied to all styles (i.e. jazz, Latin, rock, funk, etc.). You can play with all 4 limbs at the same time and groove; systems that make it easier, step by step. * Applied Music Theory: drum set notation for jazz ensemble charts and general chart reading; the development of creative accompaniment skills to improvise solos for rock, jazz, Latin, or world music is emphasized greatly; understanding song form made simple and logical; how to transcribe drum parts and write drum charts. * Snare Drum: the 40 snare drum rudiments, stick control, roll technique, the Moellor Method (accent control system), sight reading rhythms.; how to use the 4 basic strokes - the rebound, tap, down stroke and upstroke to make learning rudiments easy and fun. * Concert Percussion: technique for snare, bass drum, cymbals, keyboard percussion (bells, etc.), tambourine, triangle, etc.; applied music theory to read percussion music; application of snare/mallet technique to playing percussion parts; memorizing parts through note repetition and ear-training skills for ensemble blending. * Hand Drums: djembe, conga, doumbek, bodhran, and various hand percussions. Playing djembe (hand drums) to modern music styles and using hip grooves for hand drums is everywhere. Learn tips for creating a hand drum or percussion set up for a band. Lessons are often recorded with a digital MP3 stereo recorder and video recorder to enhance the learning experience further and have the student enjoy for reference later. These are often posted on my FB page. Students are encouraged to and can engage anytime with me through my FB page with questions, and posts of a music or drumming nature. My simple mission is to have students excel at drumming and develop a lifelong joy and passion for the instrument and music. Happy drumming to you! Warm regards, Glenn Thilman Testimonial: "My son started playing drums when he was 15. It was his first experience playing an instrument. I thought he was a typical teenage boy wanting to be in a rock band and figured the interest would die, but somehow, Glenn got him hooked and he fed that interest and developed my son's talent. Over the three years of lessons, his skill and confidence grew quickly." -- Lisa (Sept. 28, 2011)
