FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate if you pay at the time of service is $150 for the first 90 min appointment and $100 for a 60 min follow up. Video or phone calls are $120 for the first 90 min appointment and $80 for a 60 min follow up. Video conferencing has limited insurance coverage. I am currently in network with Cigna, Group Health, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Premera, Lifewise, Regence, Molina and Medicare (medicare has extremely limited nutrition benefits). I can bill most of other networks as an out of network provider. Please check with your insurance plan for your nutrition benefits and video conferencing benefits when applicable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical nutrition appointment includes a full medical history intake, diet history, daily food intake and lifestyle evaluation. Recommendations are made from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a pre-med focus from Bastyr University. During my undergraduate studies, my intent was to go on to become a Naturopathic Doctor. After graduation, I decided that my passion really revolved around using food to manage health so I continued at Bastyr to obtain my Master of Science in Nutrition / Didactic Program in Dietetics, with a focus in Herbal Science and Culinary arts. I also attended Kerala Ayurvedic Academy to become an Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant. Ayurveda is the ancient medical system from India that is still used today. I am constantly reading up on the latest research in my field, and also attending live trainings and webinars.
