About
Having been as heavy as I was it really gives me an understanding of what my clients are going through when trying to adapt a healthy lifestyle. A lot of trainers have been in great shape their whole lives, so they don't really get that it takes quite a bit of effort to change bad habits. We also have half hour(25) minute H.I.I.T sessions available upon request. These sessions can have up to 3 people in them. Great for building muscle, burning fat and community. Contact me for details. Watching people become educated in fitness and achieving their goals. It gives me great satisfaction knowing that when my clients go on their own that they will be equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to be successful at maintaining the results that they had worked so hard to get.

Working with Matt has been fantastic so far. I honestly never thought I could find a trainer like him. He's affordable, Seattle local and knows what he's doing. I especially love that unlike many trainers I've tried to work with in the past, Matt comes from a place of personal experience. He's overcome his own weight and injury challenges, which means he knows what I'm going through and what I have to get through to get back to being healthy and strong. He's able to keep me challenged and motivated without breaking me down, which is often what I did on my own or with trainers who've never had weight or injury issues. Matt has shown me that with a little creativity, I can achieve the results I so badly need. I'm really happy so far and I definitely don't see myself going anywhere else in the foreseeable future.

I am just beginning my training with Matt. So far, when I posted my request for assistance on Thumbtack, Matt was the only one who seemed to have read what I wrote, and responded to what I wrote. At this point I'm impressed. I'm only a couple of sessions in but I asked for someone to help me correct my form and that is what I'm getting from Matt. His training is excellent and his presence is moderate. He does not come off wishy-washy, feel-good, drill-sergeant or macho. He is suitable for both men and women and has a “good bench-side manner".

Matt is awesome and it's been a pleasure working with him so far. I choose him because he seemed to have a lot of knowledge about powerlifting. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to strength training and he seems to know quite a bit about the human body and ow it works mechanically. If you're looking to get into power lifting, this guy will help you do it properly. He's all about getting down to business without the fluff. Give him a try.

After several injuries and accidents, my body has a few idiosyncrasies that make it hard to get training results without further damage. Matt's expertise has allowed me to get stronger than I've been in decades. He expects hard work and is refreshingly forthright and easy to get along with. I hope to work with him for a long time to come!
