Bindia is well-versed in anatomy and physiology and has a clear understanding of how to heal and prevent injuries with/during yoga. She is personable and warm and a patient teacher. My private lessons with her have felt like drinking at an oasis. She's helped me come a long ways in my yoga practice in three short weeks. I look forward to working with her in the future and I strongly recommend her to anyone else seeking private yoga instruction.
Melissa has trained me through many levels of fitness as well as worked with me through injury and back to full strength on the injured joints. I started working with her in 2009 after my husband went for a fitness evaluation with her. He, basically, wanted to know if she did the same training routine with each client. Well, after my fitness evaluation, I got a completely different workout. Melissa tailors each workout to each individual - AND she doesn't keep the workout the same if the individual has an injury or is training for a triathlon, like I am, now. My goal is to be in the best shape of my life at 40 (I'm 36, now), and to be able to do as many activities as I want in retirement, such as skiing, hiking, swimming, biking, etc. She definitely changed my life and my outlook on what I can achieve with my body. I have gained over 12 pounds of muscle training with her, and I definitely look better than I did when I was younger! I am also an avid triathlete, and I no longer think, "I can't do that!" when someone asks me to go hiking, bouldering, etc. because thanks to Melissa, I CAN!!! She is amazing and motivating. I highly recommend working with Melissa to reach your goals!
Had my 1st lesson with Yusen and it went great! So appreciate his understanding of my personal concerns about not yet comfortable in the water. Feeling more confident already and look forward to our next lesson.
My friend and I have been taking yoga lessons from Faith all Summer. We have been meeting at the park and have a great relaxing time in the sun. Sometimes I come directly to the park from work. I can feel stressed out but I am amazed how good I feel after the yoga workout. I am able to perform the yoga movements and then relax. At the beginning of each lesson, Faith asks how I am feeling for example tired, energetic, happy or sad and also what I feel like doing. During my first lesson, I was so excited to experience her professionalism and her focus on each yoga pose. She talks clearly and with purpose and caring as she demonstrates each yoga move. Whenever I get behind or lose my balance she is there to hold me up and she tells me what I am doing wrong and what I can do to make it work. If I am not strong enough for a certain yoga move she suggests other options for me to do to make it easier for me. I will be building muscle and when I get strong enough I can move on to another way to do the moves using those newly developed muscles. I love how Faith has a strong care for me as her student. I have been doing some of these moves long enough now and Faith challenges me to do the moves in a series. I am to try and not watch her but close my eyes and recognize the names of the moves and perform them. That is hard for me to do right now but with more effort on my part I can see me successfully making the poses one after the next. Faith is very dedicated to me. I am a runner and she wants me to be stronger to do better with my running skills. I would recommend Faith to anyone. She is dependable, caring and speaks clearly and with success in mind. She will take time with each student and not let anyone leave without getting something out of the lesson.
If you are looking for a seasoned and competent swim professional, who is the epitome of coaching caliber excellence, I highly recommend Adam Hendren. In addition to being a coach with the KING Aquatic Swim Club based in the Seattle area since December 2012, he has coached for many years summer outdoor swim leagues, in addition to providing private, semi-private, and group instruction to swimmers of all ages and skill levels. When providing instruction, Coach Hendren customizes the training to meet the swimmer’s learning styles and development stages. Based on the swimmer’s skill level, he will tailor the instruction on an individualized basis. He uses different approaches including technology, state of the art visual aids, and interactive demonstration. In while safety and developing the swimmer to advance from ready-to-learn-swim programs to perhaps prepare them to join a competitive swim team, Coach Hendren’s desire is for all his swimmers to first and foremost have fun and enjoy being in the water. Coach Hendren impresses the importance of the relationship between swimmer and coach. He acts on four key qualities of a good swimmer-coach relationship: trust, commitment, communication and confidence. If his students are willing to trust his advice, commit to the instruction he is providing, communicate their goals and develop a positive, can-do attitude, they will see productive outcomes, all while fostering a close bond with him. For the past 4 years, my daughter has worked with Coach Hendren in a team setting, and on an individual basis, receiving coaching and private instruction that developed and continually enhances her technical swim technique, performance, speed, and endurance in the sport of swimming. Furthermore, he has instilled in her self- confidence and continually challenges her to discover her full potential and talent all while providing guidance in leadership development and goal setting. Coach Hendren is punctual and reliable, flexible to work with the swimmer’s schedule, an effective communicator, and comes fully prepared to the lesson all while making it a fun experience. He is genuine, caring, authentic, and a positive role model.

I offer group and private swim lessons for adult or children. If you have a fear of the water or would like to just improve on techniques you already know, I can cover it all. I have been teaching for 22 year, and I love my job. Swimming is my passion, and to get to do it everyday, and teach others how to as well, is quite a blessing.
My name is Alex. I have been a competitive swimmer for 17 years now. I have been teaching lessons for the last 6 years. I have experience working with nonswimmers and competitive swimmers, both children and adults. For children: I first like to make sure the children are comfortable with the water and trust me. I encourage them to do things out of their comfort zone, but I would never force them to do anything. Typically, I do not allow the parents at the lessons (usually this distracts the kids and makes them less likely to listen and/or try new things). I often encourage kids to do something they think is "too hard" or "too scary" by saying, "If we practice now, we can show mom how good we're doing!" I teach from basics (blowing bubbles) to advanced (learning different strokes and improving technique). Adult Lessons: I will help with learning to swim, improvement, racing, triathlons, etc.
