They were prompt. I even received a courtesy call that they were on their way and would be there soon. They were extremely fast and easy to work with. They worked very hard all day. We have a lot of stuff and they worked without complaint for hours. They assisted with random things we had failed to pack. They wrap your belongings to keep them safe and ask you where you want your furniture and place it there. I would definitely recommend them for a move. The only thing I was frustrated with was the office/correspondence personnel stated it was OK for them to transport my patio plants which I sent a photo of before hand to ensure it was squared away. When moving day came they would not transport them. I had to find help and someone with a truck at a later date which was extremely frustrating since I had limited time for the move.

Corey was great. Came as advertised, on time, and at such short notice. Got me out of a bind while moving (I contacted him 24 hours before I needed to move!), and even met me at work to provide me with the leg of a queen bed frame that I left in the UHaul after moving. Great guy, highly recommended!

Leon helped my husband and I move to a new apartment and he was invaluable. He was on time, professional, and did a terrific job of moving our heavy belongings. And Leon was so nice! He also stayed an extra hour to finish the job (we had miscalculated how long the move would take), which was greatly appreciated. Thanks, Leon!

Had an amazing experience moving with Cornelius and co. They were very professional and quickly moved the entire apartment and also set it up in the new one. The move was very inexpensive compared to ten other places I enquired but the quality was top notch.

Moving Cllique took on our job at short notice. Marcus and Cyrus used great care. They were so personable and enthusiastic about our antique furniture. When they finished with the job I had laid out, they offered to do even more. We are so glad we found them . Six stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 !

I didn’t go with the moving company that had a ton of reviews, I went with these guys and I’m so glad I did. I felt like friends who cared about me and my belongings were moving me. Courteous, professional, seasoned, skilled— they maneuvered some expensive items for me and based on the way they listened and responded to my concerns up front, I trusted them. I was impressed with how quickly they worked. They did a fantastic job and I will totally hire them again, and recommend them to my loved ones. 100% fantastic experience.

I needed to remove an old retaining wall that was falling down and rotting. It was made of railway ties and was 70' long and 5-6' high. Julio and his crew did a great job without complaining. The job turned out to be much bigger than anticipated. All the work had to be done by hand including the removal of 80 old HEAVY ties from a steep hill. They also had to carry most of the stone and fill in 5 gallon buckets due to the location of a shed and the collapsing hillside. The wall itself collapsed adding to the difficulty. Add to that the nasty cold and rainy weather and it was not fun. They replaced the wall with new 6x6x8 treated landscape timber and reinforced it with posts in concrete. They also installed a drainage system which the first wall did not have. Throughout it all, they had a tremendous attitude and were promising that the job would get done and that they wanted to do it right. Julio did not ask for more money than his bid(even though the job probably took twice as long as planned). I did voluntarily give him additional funds. It was well worth it and the wall looks great. I now have confidence that my shed and house will not be sliding down the steep hill into the creek.

These guys aren’t like your average moving cimpyany, and I have used quite a few. I did a local move, and they did not disappoint on price, and worth ethics. These guys are business majors in collage and I was very impressed at their entrepreneurial spirit. I’m glad I used them, and you wouldn’t be disappointed if you did either.

Positively great experience moving from years in our 4 bedroom house to our new smaller home. These are professional movers - not 2 guys with a truck. Very capable/technically skilled, thorough, hardworking, efficient and so nice. I’d recommend them without any reservations. Service and value! Thanks again Mo and Tim.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
