We recently hired Rob for a project that involved installing a ramp and barn door. While there were some hiccups during the process due to issues with the delivery company, Rob handled the situation professionally. He kept us informed with updates whenever possible, which we greatly appreciated. After the project was completed, we noticed a few small issues with the ramp and barn door. Rob and his son promptly came back to address and fix these issues at no additional cost to us. Their dedication to ensuring we were satisfied with the final product speaks volumes about their commitment to quality and customer service. Rob and his crew responded very quickly when we needed a last minute job done for tile and LVP on stairs in order to list our house on the market. They worked hard to get it done within our timeline and helped in many other ways as we kept requesting more help from them. When I made contact with RH and Sons they were very prompt in setting up a time to come and see the renovation project. Rob, the owner, came over to my home and spent time discussing options and time fame for the job. I felt comfortable with Rob and told him I wanted to move forward. Rob was quick to give me a written quote that I requested and work started on the project soon thereafter. He was also helpful in guiding me where to look for tile and flooring for the job. I met several personnel of RH and Sons and all were friendly, professional and did great work. Dustin was the professional who did the majority of the work in my master bathroom. He was friendly, answered all my questions, and even helped me with ordering my new, large, shower doors. My old fiberglass shower had previously been removed and Dustin put in a much larger, beautiful, tile shower. He did amazing work! I am very pleased with the outcome of my renovation project and would highly recommend RH and Sons Contracting Services.

We originally contacted Robert about kitchen soffit and wall cabinet removal due to being unsure how to contain the mess around our small children when doing it ourselves. Not only was the work reasonably priced, the mess was 99% contained and what spill over there was ended up being taken care of by Aaron as well. Since then, they have opened a partition wall with a pass through and begun the basically full remodel of the kitchen. We have had Robert, Aaron and Dustin out and each have been able to give advice on our ideas, explain different options and why something may not work or would be unnecessary in the long run. They are honest and upfront about pricing and timeframes along with making sure each step is finished correctly and, in my opinion, flawlessly. They are open to discussing any changes to design and have the experience to give advice on the big picture while not neglecting the little details.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our company consists of my son and I so we are able to keep are prices low and very competitive. We do hire subs for plumbing and electrical work but we do everything else. We discuss material and construction options that will save our customer money and we shop our suppliers to find the best price for those materials and we pass the savings on to the customer.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet with the customer so we know exactly what they would like done at their property before we come up with a quote. We take the time to go over the customers plans and then we discuss material choices and timelines and then finally price.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working in construction in 1986 as an apprentice doing residential remodel work. I learned from one of the best trim carpenters in the St. Paul/Mpls area and I continued learning from him until 1991 when he retired. I started investing in rental real estate in 1991 after I got my brokers license and with every property we rehabbed came more experience.
