- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A lot of variables go into pricing. Basic repairs and handyman type projects are usually a simple time and materials price. More extensive projects like a bathroom remodel or a major renovation are unique to each job. I write my estimates as clearly as I can, and I always give my customers the best price I can within the scope of what they want to accomplish.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I works with my customers every step of the way. I try to ask as many questions as I can in order to get the full picture of what they need or are trying to accomplish. I let them know what options are available in terms of materials to be used or the scope of the project to best suit their needs and their budget.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got my start in construction doing drywall as a finish taper when I was 17. Worked in residential and commercial, mostly new construction as well as some remodels for 10 years. I’ve been in the trades ever since, between construction and commercial facilities maintenance and improvements
