Patient, intelligent, talented… Those are just three of the qualities that Maxime displays as a guitar teacher. I started taking guitar lessons from him last year and to be honest, at first I was somewhat concerned about taking music lessons over the Internet. But it’s worked out quite well. And although I am a beginning guitar player, I’m not an inexperienced music student. After undergraduate studies in music. I went to Juilliard on scholarship before going on to perform all over the world. Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, recording contract with Sony. Recorded at Abbey Rd. Studios with the London Philharmonic, PBS radio and TV performances with leading orchestras and opera companies and along the way more voice lessons than I can remember…. 😬 so if there’s one thing I’ve done a lot of it’s take private music lessons. From a lot of people. Some good, some bad, and some great. And I have no qualms about recommending Max to either a beginning or advanced guitar student. He does a great job and is very organized in his teaching. So if you’re thinking of taking lessons give him a try. I think you’ll be very happy. Did I mention that is also a really nice guy…? 😎 Les young

I started taking his piano lessons only about a month ago, but it''s been such a great joy to work with him. He constantly assesses my weaknesses and strengths, and plans my lessons accordingly. He also listens carefully to what I like and what I want to do, too. I live a bit far from his studio, but it's totally worth it. I highly recommend him!

Attila is an experienced and trained musician, and his teaching of the guitar is interesting. He brings standard techniques at the beginning and branches out using various interests and goals that I have set coming into the lessons. Due to his teaching, a short-range goal has grown into a deeper satisfaction for continuing to pursue the guitar at a higher level. I highly recommend Attila to every level of guitar player.

Helen, was AMAZING, she taught my 6 yr daughter her first piano lesson. We were going to try out a few different teachers, but after meeting her, I have no interest going anywhere else. Thank you for being so friendly and so talented! <3 A few things that were important to me were, 1. She could connect with my 6 year old. 2. That she could teach syllabus. 3. That she has opportunities for her students to perform during the year. She met all three of those. :)

I have had three guitar lessons with Cameron and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and positive. As a beginner guitar student I would highly recommend him if you've toyed with the idea of learning but have been intimidated or put it off for any other reason. Cameron presents the information/exercises in just the right amounts for me thereby preventing frustration with the material and instead increasing my confidence and enjoyment.

The amount of time and effort Austin dedicates to his music is truly inspiring! Just watching him talk and teach others about the guitar is amazing. He’s patience and truly enjoys explaining the different techniques and notes. Regardless of the amount of experience you have with guitar, I can bet after working with him you’ll have a greater appreciation for music in general!

Jeremy is a fantastic instructor. I took piano lessons from him with an emphasis on music theory. He expertly calibrated the lessons to my level of experience with both and as well as my learning speed. He has an easygoing and encouraging presence, and explains concepts in several different ways, making them easier to understand and remember. I had a lot of fun. Thanks, Jeremy!

I am a Portland based guitar instructor. My teaching career began in NY, where I am originally from. I have had students from ages 6-60. I specialize in classical guitar, but I have plenty of experience in teaching and performing various styles, including rock, jazz, and folk. I believe that a good technique is essential, and an understanding of music theory is essential. However, these things are only one side of the coin. In addition to teaching you what to practice, I will teach you how to practice and how it ties in to what you love.

I can teach skills for guitar and bass that will allow one to play music, bridging many genres. I can help people learn songs but specialize in teaching improvisational/computational skills.

I provide all-ages guitar lessons for the serious musician or hobbyist, either beginner or intermediate, and on any or no genre. I offer competitive rates! All lessons are at $30. Length will vary depending on age.

At 14 years of age, I picked up my first guitar; having no idea what to try first, I took to the Internet to find the right path. I quickly learned that while the Internet can be a very useful tool to learn a large abundance of things, there is nothing like having someone sit in front of you and show you the ropes. At 24 years of age now, I commit most of my time to my job as a race timing technician, but on the side, I love getting the chance to open the instrumental eyes of a new musician. I've played in several bands, taken several music courses in college, and still take pride in all of my instruments. My lessons generally start off with an acoustic guitar; if you do not have one, I can provide one for rent. I go into types of guitars (12 strings, bass, electric, etc.), and I provide various scales and chord diagrams to work on, on your own.

Hi! I'm Matt. I am a full-time music instructor with over 10 years experience. I have a bachelors degree in music performance, play in several working bands and am the author of The Guitar Theory Workbook. I offer instruction in: * Blues, rock, country, folk, classical, and jazz styles * Rhythm and lead playing (Yes, even you can play guitar solos.) * Finger-picking or using a pick * Use of scales and arpeggios * Sight reading * Ear training, music theory and proper technique * Even ukulele and Bass Guitar My #1 rule: Guitar lessons are for the students. That means, I do my absolute best to make sure the students learn what they want to learn. If I don't know how to play something that you want to learn, I will learn it expressly, so I can pass it on to you.

I give guitar lessons, specializing in rock, heavy rock and heavy metal. I will teach beginners to advanced students. I have played for 38 years, with 8 years of private lessons, and have given lessons in Las Vegas for years. I am patient and have a great deal of music theory education for those interested in learning that.

I offer guitar/piano lessons. I have 26 years of experience in the industry. I'm trained and perform in multiple styles of music. Referrals are available upon request.

For the past 20 years, I have been developing my craft as a musician. I have been formally trained in voice, piano, drums, and guitar. During college, many people approached me and asked if I would teach their daughter or son guitar. I naturally became a guitar teacher. Many of my guitar students have gone on to create their own original songs. With my experience of writing over 100 songs for many different genres, I am able to draw out the songwriting abilities of my students. Outside of teaching, I have been the music director of a church, written music for film producers, and performed all around North America. I look forward to helping you or your child learn guitar.

I'm approachable, personable and patient. Whereas other teachers take textbook approaches, and categorize the people they're teaching as purely 'students', I like to learn about the people I teach, ask questions, find out what they're into. This 2 way approach to teaching makes the lessons more enjoyable, and opens the doors of communication, making it a safe place to be.
