I took violin lessons from Mirabai for about three months. I am an adult, and I had very little violin training prior. Always punctual and very professional, she possesses not only immense musical talent but also a keen teaching aptitude. She took a rigorous teaching approach while also accommodating the student's personal musical preferences. Classes with her were well above my expectation, and I would like to resume some time in the future.

I got a wild hair and decided to start violin lessons at 55 y/o with no prior experience. Mirabai has been very supportive and encouraging, and is an excellent instructor.

Bonnie is, quite simply, a superb piano teacher, and we whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone who is serious about his or her child learning to play the piano. She translates complex music theory into easy building blocks for a small child to understand. Bonnie then relates these concepts to activities and ideas easy to grasp. She balances mechanics with theory and sight-reading with improvisation. And Bonnie has an amazing amount of patience, kindness, good humor, and phenomenal skill! She can draw my daughter’s little wandering mind back to the subject easily and makes learning the piano fun and interesting.

When we arrived for the initial consultation for singing lessons and my daughter saw the piano, she asked if she could take piano lessons first. So, we're now taking piano lessons from Bonnie. I find her to work very well with kids, my daughter is 8, and my daughter likes her and is happy too. She explains things clearly, gives praise when earned, and is helpful and pleasant to work with.

I've spent a number of years with Brian as my teacher and he has always been a wonderful teacher for me. He understands his students and demonstrates his expertise in violin through his teaching techniques and general violin skill. He kept me playing the violin and even brought me to enjoy it. Thanks to Brian, violin will always be a part of me as I go off to college.

Chris, my instructor for violin lessons, is great! It is clear he typically works with children, but is personable and, as an adult, has escalated the learning process to save time. I fully intend to continue getting lessons through Chris, and the owner (Brian I believe), was very responsive to emails.

Andrew has been helping my 5-year old daughter learn how to play violin and he's been an awesome teacher for her. Andrew has been the perfect combination of a highly-skilled professional violinist and a patient/ fun/ understanding teacher for my daughter. He has an easy-to-understand/follow teaching style and makes sure that she is following his instruction every step of the way. He provides my daughter with easy-to-follow homework assignments at the end of each lesson and appropriately encourages her to practice in between lessons. His studio is very spacious and easy to access. I highly recommend him as a teacher.

He is a great violin teacher with a ton of experience. He is patient, understanding and has a great style of teaching. I have been learning with him for 3 months, and will continue as long as I can. His place provides a very comfortable and relaxing environment, which is always helpful when learning something new.

As a fifty something student who never played the violin before, I learned several songs in just a few months. Denice was a great instructor and very patient. Her lessons focused on fun and minimal stress. I only played for a few months before a shoulder injury forced me to stop playing for a while, but I would recommend Denice to any adult wanting to try something new and learn Texas fiddling. Thanks Denice, Sincerely Tricia.

Denice is a genius at teaching children from her many years of experience. My children are not only learning violin, they are learning valuable life lessons from her. I also take lessons from her and her ability to put into words exactly what I need to do to learn the step I'm working on is magical. All children and adults who want to learn violin should have the privilege of being taught by Denice.

Grace is an outstanding music teacher. My daughter was so excited to try Violin, and Grace was the perfect teacher for her. Grace was extra patient with my daughter, who is blind in one eye, and went out of her way to make my daughter feel comfortable and empowered her to believe she could play violin. She adjusted her lessons accordingly and found perfect ways to communicate complex music and violin lessons to a 7 year old. I highly recommend Grace to anyone looking to expand their musical talents. She is a very talented musician, super smart and an wonderful teacher.

I took cello lessons with Elisa for a few years and played in a group of student, stringed musicians led by her for a few more. She is very good at what she does. She is also very kind. Her lessons are affordable (especially important for a broke college student like me), and her schedule flexible for the most part.

About

Learn playing violin with heart and passion. I am a full-time violinist and teacher trained in Europe and United States. I have been very lucky to have studied the Suzuki method with John Kendall, the famous teacher whose effort brought this Japanese approach to violin pedagogy to the US. I also teach traditional European method, mainly influenced by Ivan Galamian. It is with this method that I learned to play violin as a child in Prague and continued in the conservatory. More information, including my full bio, testimonials from my students and a list of upcoming concerts can be found on my website.

I have played guitar for over ten years and want to expand my stringed experience. My mother in law lives with us and has played violin since she was young. Her arthritis is too bad to continue playing so I would use her violin and be inspired by her enthusiasm and experience.
