I really enjoy learning from Tracy! She is a very warm and approachable person. From my lesson, I could tell that she really knew what she what teaching me! That made me feel comfortable about learning more from her. She has so much knowledge to bestow on everyone about Music Theory, songs, etc. I believe that learning the piano or any instrument could pose as a job opportunity. I feel that Tracy prepares me to play locally and/or professionally!
My daughter has been taking violin lessons from Mrs. Jones for the last 3 years, she just started piano a few months ago. We love Mrs. Jones. She makes her lessons interesting, helps my daughter understand and perform well. Mrs. Jones has taught my daughter her music as well as self confidence. Mrs. Jones has her student perform at her church every year and you can tell right away how her students grow to become really accomplished musicians.
Rachel has taught both my son and daughter piano lessons. My son also took some voice lessons from her. Her enthusiasm and professionalism are second to none. my kids look forward to lessons now and have improved immensely. I would recommend her without hesitation.
Ms. Cara taught my daughter how to properly hold a bow after she struggled for years. She had always hated playing. Almost quit to play flute. No more tape on the violin and she actually likes to play again because of Ms. Cara!!
Each lesson I have with Anne Marie is worthwhile. She makes good use of the time, which includes a workable mix of review and new skills, and her expectations for lessons and practice time are realistic. She clearly explains, patiently corrects, and encourages often. Not only is she knowledgeable about music, she is a highly skilled violinist. Because I look forward to my weekly lessons with Anne Marie, I am motivated to practice at home, which is a credit to her. Andviolin lessons are fun!
I've always wanted to learn violin but never had the opportunity as a kid or young adult. When I did have the time and finances I couldn't seem to find a instructor that worked with adults or was taking on new students. Shortly before I turned 50 I met Laura and my journey began. Laura has been very patient and easy to work with. She challenges me in learning new things and continuing to polish the skills I've been working on from previous lessons. She has a wonderful warm and caring personality and you can tell she really loves teaching. I've seen her working many times before or after my lessons with kids and can tell she gives them the same care and attention and professionalism that I receive on my lessons. I would recommend her highly to any student.
Corie was my daughter’s first private violin teacher, and she was the perfect foundation for not just the love of the instrument but also the precise technique and skills needed to develop a true musician. Even years later, my daughter’s current teachers are impressed with the solid foundation she received under Corie’s tutelage. Corie made learning a challenging instrument fun at an age-appropriate level without giving up on any high standards. Whether it was learning to read music, developing ear and intonation, or perfecting a bow hold, Corie had multiple ways to teach, to address habits and difficulties, and to share experiences with the larger studio in group lessons. We still use her teaching reminders and phrases during practices sessions. With Corie’s violin lessons, you get more than just basic instruction; you get a surprisingly well-rounded introduction to true musicianship.
Jonathan knows in and out about the violin. As an instructor, he scores 10 on 10. He makes sure that the student is getting the basics right. He is neither too fast nor too slow. He goes the right speed that is good for a complete beginner like me. He also has good command on other instruments like Piano, Viola etc. He is very punctual and friendly. I highly recommend Jonathan to any person who wants to learn Violin from the scratch.
So far...excellent. We will begin in a few weeks!
Joseph has been teaching my daughter, Sophie, since 2015. He is excellent! Not only is his teaching instruction easy for her to follow (she was 12 when she started studying with Joe), he is a very keen musician and a teacher. For sure he has my robust recommendation as well as our trust. SL
I am a recent graduate from Northwestern University with a bachelor of music degree in classical guitar performance. Guitar sparked my interest at the age of eight. Two years later, I began to study violin, taking private lessons and performing in school orchestras and chamber groups. I have experience in teaching all levels of guitar lessons, and beginner to intermediate violin lessons tailored to fit the student's needs and interests. I am confident that I can give my students the instruction they need to develop as musicians, including technical skills, performance skills, and a background in music theory -- all, of course, tailored to fit their age, level, and interests. We will work together to create a lesson schedule that best fits your lifestyle and will make your experience with music what you want it to be. I am also fluent in Polish!

I took violin lessons and my sister took piano lessons from Carol for two years. She was always very patient, explained things in a very clear way, and was very encouraging. We were very sorry when we no longer had time to continue our lessons. Anybody who gets to take lessons from Carol should consider them self lucky.
I am a Chicago based violin instructor and performer. Playing the violin has had an incredible impact on my life, and I'm dedicated to sharing my love for music with my students. I have seen firsthand the social and academic growth of my young students as a result of playing the violin, and I am a firm believer that access to music can benefit a person's life in a way that nothing else can.
