Introduction: Alto saxophonist and composer Pat Carroll is noted for his unique sound, personal approach to improvisation, and his "...intimate and comfortable relationship with space", (Monique Avakian - Jazz Times) In addition to leading his own quartet, Carroll has performed as a sideman for renowned bassists Joe Sanders and Linda Oh, appearing with Justin Brown, Rodney Green, Gerald Clayton, E.J. Strickland and Luis Perdomo among others.
Formerly an adjunct professor at the University of California Berkeley, Pat now teaches privately in New York City and Brooklyn. He holds a Bachelor's from Berklee College of Music and Master's from Manhattan School of Music.
