Ochion (pronounced ocean) Jewell has a masters in music, 7 yrs experience teaching kids for the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, as well as performance experience with some of the greatest, most famous musicians on the planet (see bio on website) he can easily get anyone from A to B in music, open new areas of enthusiasm, and help you sound great in any area of music!!
"I may be biased, but I truly think music is the healthiest (and coolest) thing a person can do to improve their self. Research has shown that it helps EVERYTHING, and....well, it's just fun and a very real experience. For kids, music teaches self-responsibility, confidence/humility, and that they can learn anything in life by breaking down the elements one by one. I love passing on all I have learned, and I'd love to help you with music."

Ochion has been giving my son saxophone lessons for four years. He is a terrific teacher and a terrific person who really engages with and cares about his students.

My son has been taking private saxophone lessons with Ochion for the past three years and it has been an outstanding experience for him. He has developed into an incredibly talented saxophone player. My son has learned improvisational skills such as chord changes, chord scales and the basics of a 12 bar blues. As a result, my son won a scholarship for his outstanding improvisational skills at the NY Jazz Academy Festival.
