FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical first session with a new client starts with discussing their current complaints and then digging into their past history (past injuries, surgeries, scars etc). A thorough history will help guide me to the underlying cause of the current symptoms. After taking their history we will then go through a full functional movement screen to see where there are limitations or dysfunctional patterns. From there we will start to break it down and look at mobility, stability, muscle testing and relationships in any patterns identified. Once this is complete we will still have time for treatment and the initiation of a home program for the client to do on their own to maintain the progress made during the session. Clients typically follow up after 1-2 weeks for a full treatment session including manual therapy, retesting relationships and progressing exercises to get the patient back to full pain free function.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a finance major in college and worked in finance/law in NYC for a few years after school. I hated being stuck in an office sitting all day. I got injured training for my first 1/2 ironman triathlon and was going to PT. That is where my interest was sparked and made the decision to go back to school for 4 yrs to get my Doctorate.
