What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My one-on-one personal training prices are very competitive for the Hoboken area. I offer a FREE consultation and fitness assessment to all new clients. My pay-per-session rate is $65, but I offer discounted packages that make it even more affordable! This includes one (1) hour training sessions, "homework" workouts, and nutrition guidance.
My weight loss and nutrition coaching fees vary tremendously based on my client's personal needs. My consultation and TLS weight loss profile assessment is $25. Once the client and I discuss their goals, a price will be agreed upon.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I will do a consultation that will take approximately one (1) hour in order to assess what phase to begin training the client in. Knowing the clients current fitness level and history will allow me to avoid injury when planning workouts and also let me know what type of workouts work best for the individual.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ACE certified professional and TLS Weight Loss Coach.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working as a personal trainer when I realized I could put my passion for fitness to work. I have always been in the business of helping people and was eager to find a way to do that hands on in my community. I chose to be a private personal trainer (as opposed to working a corporate gym) because I wanted to have control over how I was able to work with my clients. I know what works, and I want my clients to reap the benefits.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of clients; women, men, couples, groups, etc. I have trained clients aging from 21 to 55. The complimentary fitness consultation and assessment that I offer ensures that I create the appropriate program for each client based on their current status, age, weight, etc.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a personal trainer in your area, be sure to find someone who will provide you with outside resources. One or two sessions a week with a personal trainer is not going to help you reach your goal. Working with someone who sends you workouts to do on your own time and assists you in making the right choices for your diet is extremely important.
