Introduction: I love where I work! It has such a welcoming atmosphere. I rent a space through a business called Napa Dance Club. The owner loves to dance. Over the years, as a hobby, he has created a comfortable space for other people, who also have a passion for dance or the arts, to learn and express themselves. My students always seem pleasantly surprised by the space as the location is over the Napa Auto Supply Store in Redwood City, CA.

Sonya was amazing! We can easily recommend her to anyone looking for wedding choreography (and even just dance lessons in general). We had limited experience with ballroom dancing and she was able to train us in a couple classes to be comfortable with some traditional moves that fit our first dance song and we felt super fancy :) But the BEST part was the collaborative element of working with Sonya. We're both pretty fun and goofy people and we wanted to incorporate some wacky and fun elements into our first dance (especially as our first dance song was pretty non-traditional with some funky beats and transitions). Sonya understood everything we said and wanted and was able to seamlessly incorporate our personalities into the routine and overall we wound up with what I'm pretty sure is the best first dance that anyone has ever witnessed :D Thank you so much Sonya! You helped make our day truly kickass!

My wife and I are going to attend a very formal ball and needed to learn to dance the waltz. We contacted Sonya through Thumbtack . We think her background as a professional dancer who competed in ballroom dancing gives us an advantage in learning from her. We have been very pleased with her professionalism, friendly manner, flexibility in scheduling along with adapting a teaching method to each of us, and jointly that helped us learn the steps. She has very good patience in working with us. We love the fact she uses multiple ways to teach us individual steps, along with the entire step and how it fits into a routine we can follow. We have been taking lessons for two months and feel very confident about what she has taught us. We highly recommend her.
