Friendly and professional environment where I can choose the pace of my learning. When I just want to just play and have fun and pick up some pointers September lets me. When I want to dig deep and work hard on fundamentals, September brings it on! Right now I'm motivate to do the hard work regimen and I'm so amazed to see the improvements in my playing, both flute and piccolo, from the tone and technique exercises she's teaching me. It's amazing all there is to learn about how one stands when holding the flute, foot/hip/elbow/shoulder/wrist/hand positioning, embouchure (throat/tongue/lips/placement on mouth hole), support and breath control (diaphragm), phrasing and musicality, I could just keep going on and on about what I'm learning and I'm so excited to keep learning and becoming a more competitive musician.
