I found Shifting Years Fitness Center’s advertisement on our neighborhood website. My daughter had been looking for a trainer so she made the initial contact. She recruited me and another daughter to go with her to meet Eva who did a fitness assessment with each one of us. We started training in January with Eva. Eva is a top notch trainer. All three of us are at different fitness levels. Eva worked out a plan for each one of us. We all work out together but each one of us train at a different level. Having been an orthopedic nurse, Eva is very knowledgeable about the human body. Eva and Henry were previous owners of a fitness gym before they moved to Birmingham so we have complete confidence in them as trainers. It’s fun to work out with my daughters in a private setting. Eva is great and her personality makes it fun. She designed an at home workout plan for each of us specifically. She has given us nutrition information and diet advice. She goes way beyond our workout sessions. She genuinely cares about us and our progress. She and Henry are kind, generous and very spiritual people. It is a pleasure to work out with Eva. She always goes above and beyond and is so considerate of our schedules and any changes we need to make. I can’t say enough good things about Eva and Henry. I’m so blessed to have found Eva as a trainer and both of them as friends!
Mami is the perfect trainer for new moms wanting to lose baby weight or recover abdominal strength after a c-section. She knows so much about how your body needs to recover from pregnancy and works at a good pace to prevent injury. After a month I already see improvement in my strength and stamina and the best part is that I can bring my baby!

I really like Burton Training for the short amount of time that I was training. Burton Training helped me with a lot especially eating right with the meal plan that I was given. Some may not believe it but the training that I was going to 3 days a week was better then going to the gym. Because I could go to the gym and workout for an hour and not feel in what areas where that I was working out, but after working out for 30mins with Burton Training I could actually feel in my stomach and legs the tightness cause I knew it was working.

John is a very knowledgeable personal trainer. He takes the time to explain what muscles each exercise in targeting. The workout routine changes often which keeps me engaged and focused. He also explains how both diet and exercise work together. The information he provides makes it easy to manage your diet in order to achieve your weight lose goals. I have been into fitness for over 35 years. I have gone to college and took up physical education. I understand the human body very well. If you want muscles and want to get fit and lean, I am your man. I will help you with your diet, cardio and weight training. I am CPR certified. I have spent years in bodybuilding and fitness shows.
I do in-home personal training for children and adults, as well as boot camp classes and children's after school care programs.
