I have high standards and I can easily say that Debbie was the best wedding planner I could ever ask for. She was always positive, always had a solution to everything we needed, always kept my budget front of mine and was just purely delightful to work with. I will keep in touch with Debbie just because I like her so much and I highly recommend her. Please feel free to contact me anytime if you want to discuss further, but you will be making a good decision if you go with her!

I hired Party Bliss for Wedding Day Coordination. Kristi was great! She answered my calls and emails quickly and helped me feel prepared on the days before my wedding. On my wedding day she was there to help with everything my family was asking for and made sure my day stayed on track (which was my biggest worry). It was such a relief to know I had someone familiar with weddings and how they work to handle all the details. I definitely recommend Kristi and her team.

Monica and Kristal were amazing. In the short time they had they were able to come in and organize the entire wedding party. When my wife met them she felt so much stress come off of her and was able to relax and not stress over the little things. They came to the venue early to make sure everything went flawless. They were the main contact for vendors, so I didn't have to deal with them. If a situation arose they handled it, we did not know anything was wrong until the wedding was over. Monica was easy to talk to and was able to visualize what we wanted. she then took charge from there. We couldn't ask for a better team to help plan our wedding. I feel they went over and beyond with helping put together wedding decorations. Kristal was able to see a need and was handling before we knew it was needed. I couldn't ask for better wedding planers. I will highly recommend Cloud 9 to anyone who is need of a wedding planner. Thank you for your hard work.

The BEST decision I made for my wedding was hiring Tammie of Desert Vines Events as my wedding planner/coordinator. I'll be honest, I consider myself a pretty organized person who enjoys researching/planning, but no amount of research can replace the years of experience from a veteran wedding planner like Tammie. Tammie was absolutely professional, amazing, and so worth having! I told her what I like, my priorities and she made it happened! She was always quick to respond and when she gave herself a deadline, she always achieved it. What I also love the most about having a planner I didn't have to go insane trying to answer all the uncertain questions. Yes, it was PERFECT! Also, my family and friends all loved and appreciated everything that she did. I can't thank her enough, I really got to enjoy every minute of my wedding and I owe that to her... Thank You so much Tammie!!

I'd recommend Nicki and Events to Remember to anyone looking for a wedding planner and day of help. If you'r on the fence about the investment, take it from me, it's soooo worth it! Throughout the whole process, Nicki helped guide us through the decision making and next steps. She gave us ideas while keeping everything true to our vision. And the day of help was critical. I truly don't know what we would have done without her. She knew what needed to be done and when it needed to be done and handled it all while we were blissfully unaware, enjoying our big day.

Adetoun is the best thing that happened to me during my wedding planning process. I hired her to do my decoration and she was exceptional. We bonded from our first meeting and she was one stop shop as she planned everything. She is very professional and keeps to her words. She did everything she said she was gonna do and even more. when the doors opened for the guess to walk into the reception venue, their face lit up because they felt like they were in Cinderella's ballroom. Everything looked so amazing. I couldn't be happier that i chosed her and i thank God for leading me to her. She made me have my dream wedding. I was a very satisfied bride and i will recommend Adetoun anytime, anyday and for any event. I will use her again for all events i will ever have. She has become our family decorator for life. I love doublt T cateering.??

My daughter is an active duty Air Force Pilot and was unable to plan her wedding. It fell on me to handle the details. Tera came on board and took on the bulk of the responsibilities. She worked with a perfectionist mother-in-law, handled a last minute decoration change, and coordinated a few challenges the day of the wedding from vendors that could have--but didn't--affect the wedding because Tera was on top of things. I highly recommend this organized, creative, and efficient wedding planner for your event!

Great Experience!!!! I Will definitely recommend to others. Meghan was extremely friendly, puntual, professional and relateable. My entire wedding was DIY and it went off without a hitch; the entire experience from start to finish was effortless. Meghan communicated with all my vendors and was determined to have my worries eliminated so I could enjoy my big day. She went above and beyond to get any last minute items I still needed the night before the wedding. She paid close attention to detail and listened to the things that were important to me during the arrangement of my ceremony. Five Stars!!

Hiring Trisha was the best investment we made for our wedding! From the moment we met I knew she really cared about her clients and wanted to ensure their event goes exactly how they imagined. Trisha was everywhere I needed her to be and more and very accessible. She is flexible, kept things running as smooth as possible and made me feel at ease during the whole process and on our wedding day. She takes pride in her work and it shows. We can't thank her enough for being the support she was for us on our wedding and even after. Do yourself a favor and hire a hard working professional like Trisha for your special event. Thanks Trisha!!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

    • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
    • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
    • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.
    • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
    • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
    • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
    • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
    • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.
    • Manage the wedding day from supervising vendors and setup to handling last-minute emergencies.

    What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

    • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
    • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
    • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
    • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.
    • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
    • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event.

How much does it cost for a wedding planner?

Wedding planning is a full-time job — unless you hire a professional to handle the hard work for you. The cost for a wedding planner will depend on the level of service you desire. The least expensive wedding planner option is day-of coordination, then partial service, then full-service.

The national average cost for wedding planning is between $990 and $1,300. Costs are greatly affected by region, with rural or smaller-town wedding planners often far more affordable than planners in higher-cost cities. Here are some examples of the various levels of wedding planning and their potential average costs:

    • Day-of-wedding coordination: $800-$1,700. Day-of services can include the planner finalizing all details, creating a timeline, confirming vendors and overseeing all setup, day-of activities, and cleanup. The couple does all the front-end planning and contracts all the vendors. Time commitment could be about 15-25 hours, depending on pricing.
    • Partial service: $1,500-$3,800. Here the planner works with the couple from the beginning, helping contract vendors, creating a timeline, and overseeing all details of day-of execution. Time commitment could be about 30-60 hours, depending on package and pricing.
    • Full service: $3,500-$8,000 or more. Here the professional handles all wedding and planning details including working on design, securing rentals, getting the venue and vendors, and handling complete execution of the event. Time commitment could be 50-150 hours or more, depending on package and pricing.
    • Consulting: $50-$150 per hour for design, vendor, reception and other wedding planning consultation.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
