John is the best!! If you do not hire him you are an idiot. John installed my base trim, hung a door and install iron supports for a granite counter top to a masonry wall. He was on time and on task. He doesn't charge enough and you should pay him extra anyway.
After our upstairs toilet leaked through the bathroom floor/garage roof, Charles was able to quickly repair the roof and replaced the baseboards in our bathroom all for a very reasonable price. His work speaks for itself, he took the time to ensure that our baseboards and the caulking on the tile floor matched as close as possible, his technician Jaime did a great job texturing the garage roof. Overall we are very happy with the work that was done, Charles was very knowledgable, professional and we highly recommended taking advantage of his services.
I called Ricardo and we mad an appointment for the next day. He arrived as promised and gave me a reasonable estimate on a custom made side gate. We set up an installation date on the spot. He confirmed the day before our appointment as to his time of arrival. He arrived as promised and installed our beautiful gate within an hour. I plan to use Ricardo this fall for some masonry work. Look no further for a professional, who is honest & reliable. I would give him 10 STARS if I could. Thank you Ricardo & Thumbtack
Our stucco over block fence was severely damaged after an SUV crashed through it. We ended up hiring Martin at Acosta Masonry for the repair. The rates Acosta charged were reasonable but where they really excelled was in customer service. They were the first to come out to my property. Quick to provide a quote, and were able to provide more detailed information needed by the insurance company within a few hours. I had an out-of-town trip scheduled over the holidays and didn’t want to leave an open hole to my backyard. Martin understood and rearranged his schedule to get the repair done immediately. We were able to leave for our trip with the wall up. I was really impressed by this willingness to work quickly. In the end it took them less time to build the fence, stucco, and paint than it did for the insurance company to get an adjuster out! End result looks great. You can’t tell where the old fence stopped and the new fence begins.
I can't say enough great things about Brent and his crew. We placed a posting on thumbtack looking for a masonry to come out to enclose an open courtyard area off of our kitchen and build an outdoor fireplace. We received multiple bids from companies that had 5 star reviews but ultimately decided on Brent (who at the time had no reviews as he was new to Thumbtack) based on his professionalism and vision for what our space could ultimately become. From the initial design (and his willingness to brainstorm/tweak the design along the way) to the overall execution, I could not be happier with the job Brent did on our outdoor fireplace and planter wall. In a business where companies promise the world and constantly underperform, it's refreshing to find a company likes Brent that delivers exactly what they promise. We'll certainly be using him again in the near future for other projects and be happy to refer him to other family and Friends.
Great people. Fit us in to their busy schedule for a "have to do it right now" repair job. Gate post wall had separated from house - gate wouldn't close - corner of garage crumbling. Previous amateur attempts to repair definitely a fail. FHA inspection next day. Half a day and it was done right and well. Timely, personable, professional, and proficient. Leaving the area but recommend Todd, Julie & Block More for any masonry work you may have. Ours was a relatively small job but photos of their bigger projects are quite impressive
Did great work on our tile! They had to fix a lot of the mess the first tile guy made and then the end product was great!
Brock was wonderful and readily available. He showed up early to check out the job and hopped right in even when I was running a bit behind. He was very responsive and personable and did a great job cleaning up and repairing the masonry on the front of our residence.
I needed a paver walkway put in on the side of my house and hired A&A Masonry to do the job. This company was available for the time I wanted, but was also very competitive in their pricing as well. The work they did was top notch, and I will hire them again should I have any other paving needs.
"Jim and the team at Cornerstone Masonry were top notch. From the initial visit and estimate to the final product, Jim took the time to answer each of my many, many questions with patience and was very helpful in my decision process. The bid was very competitive. The team arrived as promised on a Friday am, kept the area neat and tidy as they worked and immaculate when they left. I hope not to need to replace another section of my block wall anytime soon, but if I do Cornerstone would be my only call."
June 13, 2018 Ground Zero Landscaping LLC review. The owner Chad Bennett was pleasant and easy to talk to. I did not have a specific design or specifications for the company to use for my brick paver walkway and a 3-foot-wide border around the back of my 57-year-old house. So, Chad helped with some of the decision making regarding the pattern and how to resolve grade variations. The paver masons were precise with the difficult fits and quick to set grades and set the pavers. I asked for some changes to the original scope of work to include a drip system valve replacement which was accomplished by another employee other than the two masons. There were some miscommunications related to some fill dirt that was needed to fill a low area adjacent to the masonry. Initially some gravel mix (ABC) and caliche was brought in for the fill material which I rejected as unacceptable but Chad quickly found a source of “turf soil” and removed and replaced the ABC and caliche with the “turf soil” which I found acceptable. Overall: My wife and I were very pleased with the paver results; it improved the appearance of the house and will reduce the yearly maintenance. I highly recommend Ground Zero Landscaping with one caveat: it you do not have a formal design or specifications, as I did not, you will need to follow up as the work progresses with feedback to Chad and his workers to ensure you get what you have envisioned.
Ed designed an outdoor kitchen for my backyard that is centered around a pizza oven that he built, and included spaces for my existing gas grill and smoker. Considering myself designed challenged, I had only a few ideas of what I did and didn't want in an outdoor living space. The plans that Ed created on his computer cad program were detailed but easy to read, and included many creative, yet practical ideas for what my yard could be. I was able to provide input at every stage of the process and always felt that my requests were heard and incorporated. In addition, the pricing for the job was clearly stated in easy to read line-item format on a spread sheet that left no doubt as to what was being purchased. If there were any additions or changes, those were updated and shown before the work was authorized. All of the individual contractors that he brought in to work on various stages of the project (pizza oven, masonry, pergola, artificial grass) were monitored and their work was inspected carefully by him at each critical juncture. Ed also checked in with me frequently to assess my satisfaction on jobs completed as the project progressed. The work was completely transparent and I felt informed about everything that was happening. His passion for his work is evidenced by the way he brings his own creativity to work for the customer's preferences - and he enjoys figuring out the best way to make all of the little details fit together to make the most amazing final project. I would highly recommend working with this company if you have any outdoor home project!
Jose built a small, 6 1/2 linear foot, 3 foot high, screen wall for me. Finished it in stucco and painted it. He built it level, square and exactly as I submitted it to my HOA. He gave me a very fair price for the project. I couldn't ask for more.
We had Adrian raise the height of our block wall in the backyard to add more privacy. He was very professional and completed the work in a timely manner. Overall, we're pleased with the final product and we're already planning our next project with Brick House Masonry.
I'm extremely satisfied with Luis and his crew they said the wall would take three days and it did. On time and on budget. I would hire them out and refer them to anyone.
We remodeled our backyard and Camelback made it possible.
