I only got a quote from this company so I cannot speak to their actual repair service. Unfortunately the experience with the quote was the stereotypical contractor game of “repair for $600” (which was $30 worth of parts at Home Depot- both elements and both thermostats) “or replace the whole thing for $1,500”. This is a 7 year old electric water heater. $600 to replace thermostats and elements is astronomical and quite frankly an arbitrary number because he did zero diagnostic work to find out what was actually wrong. I am on thumbtack to avoid these type of interactions, so I feel obligated to let other users know: avoid AZ Water Systems.

Jalal was such a pleasure to work with. Came by the house the following day and did a free estimate. He was completely transparent on what was needing to be replaced vs repair, but left the ball in my court on what I wanted to do. He gave me around 5 options for various water heaters, costs and processes for each - my old one needing replaced was a solar electric water heater, and I was unsure of which avenue to take. On top of all of that I was trying to see if a claim could be made with my insurance and he was quick to provide recommendations for others if his work wouldn’t be an option for insurance. I ended up using him for the replacement and the process was seamless. He was available for texts and calls throughout the day and was very responsive and helpful. I live out of state, to make matters more challenging, and again, all needs were met. Thank you so much! I’ll be using you for all my future plumbing needs!
