We discussed some options and I felt Anthony was helpful in analyzing pros and cons and we arrived at good decisions. The job site was left clean (some unavoidable fine dust) and the final product met our needs. John Bour says, "Class Act!To provide a safe environment for my senior self in the shower, I contracted with Clean Corners Construction to make it happen.From the initial telephone contact and subsequent in-person contacts with Julio, owner and founder of the company, and Yvan, the company liaison, I found knowledge, passion, and transparency in the quality of work they promised to provide. Together, we developed a plan to convert a Roman, cast iron bathtub with a shower component in place for over 36 years to a walk-in shower only. While the project was fully designed before work began, the company offered full support for change of any magnitude during the process.The project began at full speed on the following Monday. The foreman, Ismael, and his crew member, Rodrigo (?), started early to transform the existing configuration to one that would look as though the space was always intended to be the elegant shower that was revealed at projects end. Over a period of several days, this two-man crew worked quickly and companionably to prepare the area for tile.Without delay, the next team headed by the tile installer, Ivan, and his crew members, Pedro (1) and Pedro (2), began additional preparation for installing wall and floor tile. I felt very connected when Ivan brought me into the process with questions as to my preferences for directional placement of the large wall tiles and for where cuts would provide the best appearance.Gerardo, project supervisor, offered suggestions/solutions which included an upgrade to the ceiling light fixture, a tiled ramp instead of a step into the shower, and a drain relocation. He arranged for the grout to be fully reworked to accommodate my concerns in two areas. And he directed that paint be applied to the entire bathroom ceiling to best match the new paint in the shower ceiling. All of this was provided with no change to the price and terms of the contract.Julio consistently demonstrated his companys stated commitment to provide high quality products and service to maximize the effect of the bathtub to shower conversion that he helped me define.Yvan very ably provided project status updates, coordinated product delivery, and offered ready availability to address any concerns I might have.Throughout the two plus weeks of construction, all representatives of the company exhibited courtesy to me and each other and respect for my property. Ash F. says, "Simply put, Venus Homes is fantastic. I bought this house knowing it would need to be fully gutted and remodeled. First, I wanted to remove just the one wall to create an open floor plan, but Narsay recommended we remove another one in the living space to make it even more open. We then expanded the master bathroom into the backyard storage room AND added an additional bedroom/bathroom in the back making it a 4 bedroom/3 bath house. The master bathroom is absolutely majestic, it was designed by Sami who was able to fit in a jetted tub and a 7’ shower that my fiancé wanted. The entire house’s plumbing, electrical, and HVAC were re-done and we added another HVAC unit in the back portion of the house. The kitchen was moved and expanded, Narsay connected us with his designer and we worked with him until it was perfect with all the bells and whistles. Narsay guided us throughout the project and we kept making changes that he recommended in order to have a much nicer layout. The project took about 3 months from start to finish and we couldn’t be happier at how quickly everything got done. The budget was spot on except for the changes we made and Narsay and his dad were so patient with us when we kept changing our minds about finishing. They are truly an awesome team and Narsay was available anytime I texted him. Once our house was done, we decided to re-finance and the appraisal came back showing we literally made money from this remodel. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing company and would give them 10 stars if possible!!!"See more

Nathan came out and gave me the estimate on adding blow in insulation in my attic. He got up in the attic, took some pictures, and I agreed with his estimate as I am no stranger to my attic. After I had some previous work done I scheduled up the appointment. They were right on time and Nathan came out with the two other gentlemen to give them a hand. The job was done very clean. They laid out drop cloths from my front door all the way to my hallway attic entry before bringing in the insulation blowing hose and they got the job done efficiently and fast. Work has not been done yet. UPDATE, Fresh Energy and Ty did a great job getting some insulation in my attic right away, I had just bought a late 70's home and the attic was about bare. Gil and the Avalon Home Performance crew did an amazing job clearing out some of the junk and debris that was in our 1960 attic along with about a 4” mix of fiberglass and cellulose insulation. I now have an R49 in my attic, all of my ventilation is now adequately sealed up and not leaking anymore and all of my ceiling leak points for light fixtures, fans, etc have been air sealed!

Gil came out for the initial inspection along with the 3 other insulation companies I reached out to through Thumbtack, I have a rule of always getting at least three quotes anytime I need a contractor for anything.

I look for a balance of professionalism, knowledge, cost, quality and reputation.
I chose Avalon because of their detail to the work that needed to be done, everyone else just tried to sell the job and they would’ve just covered all of the debris in my attic with insulation to never be removed!

Gil & Avalon Home Performance truly care about doing quality work, the right way, for a reasonable price.
They aren’t the cheapest company out there but that is because they are doing things the right way, with the best products and the best additions to make your insulation work better for your home, regardless of how much time it takes to do it.

There are a lot of companies that cut corners and put inferior insulation products in your attic to save money and increase their profit and do subpar work, I learned that through my other quotes and my subsequent research.

I was very impressed with Avalon’s process and the end result has saved me about 30% on my electricity bill and even more importantly has made my home much more comfortable now and has also helped to mute and remove a lot of the outside noise that I was hearing through our attic empty. This will ultimately pay for itself over time in my electricity savings so it’s a win-win!

I would recommend no one except for Avalon, for any of your insulation needs! Save your time and just reach out to them, don’t be bought and sold by the companies all about the profit and have none of the follow-through!

Super responsive and reached out multiple times when I missed their calls at first! They were able to come out and give us a quote very quickly, and then able to schedule us soon as well! They completed the job quickly and on time and we’re very kind when they came for the quote as well as to complete the work. We got probably 6 quotes to get the insulation in our attic updated, and Koala was by far the most reasonably priced and the most responsive. Would definitely hire again if we ever needed further work done!
