I am brand new to learning the guitar at 57 yrs old. Dave has been instrumental in providing me the mechanics, the lessons and the steps to actually be able to understand the guitar, notes, chords, & strumming. Most importantly how to “play”. His instructional method is about having fun and truly leaning to play “songs that you want to play. Blues to Classic Rock. I would recommend him for beginners to advanced guitar enthusiast. He will tell you though as with anything practice, practice, practice is the key.

Let me compare taking bass guitar lessons with Michael, to trying to learn on my own. Simply put, it's like night and day. Trying to teach myself was a lesson in futility--I didn't know where to start. In just a couple months' worth of lessons with Michael, I've learned more quickly than I thought would have been realistic. Michael knows his stuff. He is very good at tailoring his lessons to each student's goals, in order to get the most out of the student in the least amount of time. More importantly than that, however, Michael keeps his lessons and the learning environment very open, encouraging, and non-judgmental. He offers personal insights on theory, as well as life in general at times, which makes lesson time much more fun and interesting. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone who is looking for quality instruction!

Reggie is very patient. I had NO musical background: now I get it for the first time, and can at least pretend to play the bass guitar. Reggie let us work on whatever I was interested in, at my speed.

I have taken vocal lessons and songwriting coaching from Michael Daniel. In addition he has produced a few songs for me. Besides being an excellent, patient instructor with an unparalleled knowledge of rock and pop music, he makes me sound gooooooood. Very kind, ethical instructor.

Alex has really made an impression on my 7 yo son and he has only had two lessons. He practices guitar nearly every day and is showing me how to play without getting my thumb lasered off. (This is apparently what happens if one’s thumb is visible above the neck). Alex is very good with my son even though his attention span is short. He is showing him the correct way to hold and play the guitar and my son is really enjoying the lessons. So far, Alex has been very conscientious and reliable. I would certainly recommend him as a guitar instructor.

I took beginning bass lessons from Jeff 10 years back for a year or so. I am an old dog and he was able to teach me. The knowledge he shared with me has taken me pass my goals. I still review some of the material he shared. I sometimes think I should take more lessons. I now get calls to play professionally. thanks Jeff.

        About

I offer drum lessons. I've been teaching students of all ages, from beginner to advanced, drawing from my many years of professional experience in the studio and live playing as well as touring. We combine what the student is interested in (more so for advanced) and what they need work on. To get you playing with less effort, more control, better ideas, on top of a very solid groove, I am using traditional books and years of teaching experience. I also offer music lessons, covering beginning piano. The student learns how to read and play notes, rhythms, chords, melodies and scales. I also teach bass guitar. The students will learn to read rhythms, notes on instrument and scales, approach to good technique, articulation and read tab and standard music.

I played violin all through middle school and high school so I have musical experience but it's been 10 years since I've done anything with it. I took a Beginning Guitar class at Scottsdale Community College so I'm a bit familiar but never got super comfortable with chords.
