7/21 - Technician was friendly enough but it was clear he (or the company in general) did not have the knowledge to repair my brand of water softener. After five minutes of pushing buttons he said it needed to be replaced for $2,000! I said no way and called another company with a more expensive service call fee that was able to repair this specific brand - for $230. Unfortunately I still had to pay the first service call fee too of $39.
7/27 - as a follow up here I need to say that I was called by the Manager (Mike) after my original post. Mike was very professional in wanting to understand what happened with my project (see above), and explained that there are certain proprietary models of water softeners that they do not repair - mine was one of those. He stated that I should have been told this at the outset and has cordially refunded my $39. paid for the service call. I appreciate the professional service on that - thank you!See more
