Latest Review: I am a 69 year old male, have been a resident of Kern County, and more specifically Bakersfield for 60+ years. I am a Professional Regional Sales Manager for a very large National Corporation in charge of 1004 West Coast Employees. Additionally, I am a Retired Army Lieutenant, a Veteran of Viet Nam, am in my late 60's, and I have always considered myself fit both physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. My military and professional record this far suggests that is true. Recently, for relatively natural reasons, I have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoarthritis, and Hypertension. Additionally, a strain which occurred perhaps in basic training, got worse during my deployment and years of duck hunting, and most recently on the bench press, I have been diagnosed with a partially torn right shoulder rotator cuff. Also, I have had 2 surgeries to repair a torn ACL which was and is problematic from a fall that I took while on a Mud Run in 2012, and a re-tear in 2014 on the stairs at my 2nd home in the snow in my Tehachapi home. I came to The Health, Fitness, Diet and Wellness Doctor in October of 2016 even though I am an experienced gym member of 40 years, I go to the gym 4 to 5 X per week for nearly that entire time minus a couple of years for the injuries though I stayed active. I thought I was an expert in diet, weights, cardio, form and staying healthy as I am avid weight lifter, do a cardio appropriately, and have had a good diet, or so I thought, for the majority of my life. BOY, WAS I WRONG ABOUT A FEW KEY FACTORS WHICH MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. If you are an 8 cylinder, DOHC, 5.0L engine that is only running on 7 cylinders, you will absolutely lose all your performance, and your engine will fail within 50 miles. That was me. I was falling apart. I had to swallow my pride, and I had to seek help. I HAD TO HAVE THE HEALTH, FITNESS, DIET AND WELLNESS DOCTOR do a free consultation, decided to hire a Nutritionist as I had gained over 45 pounds, a personal trainer to help with fat loss, lean body mass gain, decreasing my body fat % which went from 12% to 27% in the last 5 years, and a LIFECOACH TO DEAL WITH THE DEPRESSION OF IT ALL. They are remarkable, a 10/10 in friendliness, availability, service, EDUCATION AND EXPERTISE, and they do a Beverly Hills-Malibu job with you in all these areas for KERN COUNTY RATES,...LITERALLY HALF OF WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT. I highly recommend The Fit Doc for all needs your insurance, education, time, experience, family; other experts in The Health Industry just can't expertly cover all in once. Thanks Doc! Tom S.

Latest Review: Ryan is a fantastic trainer. Whether it's one on one or group training he is really attentive and encouraging. I have been a client for over a year and his enthusiasm for my accomplishments and progression has never changed. He introduced me to Olympic lifting and Crossfit training. Ryan is not only a trainer and coach, he's family. I also can't say enough about how great KC Crossfit is about making everyone feel welcome.

Latest Review: Love working with my future trainer. She's excellent at scheduling workouts around my busy life, and the variety I get is far beyond what I was able to do on my own. This is really a great program if you want the accountability of a real person plus the convenience of being able to do workouts wherever. I can do workouts when traveling, at home, at the gym. They also customize the workout to the gear I have available, which makes it super easy. It's also great having an app to reach out to my trainer, rather than waiting for my weekly training session to ask questions. Megan's very punctual with responses, and very understanding with all my concerns. Overall this is an excellent service. Much recommended.

Latest Review: Dave, is simply awesome. He told me everything I could ever want to know. If it was Bulking, dieting, exercises Dave told he what to do, how to do it and when to do it. Personally I've never met Dave though he does help me Online with Training sessions and works. Helps me with my meals, what Carbs to eat, watching my Protie/Carb intake. Etc etc. Most of all he's a really nice dude, Though he's big and immitating, he's just that. He'll go out of his way to help you no matter what. Some people are just after your money, but with Dave I can tell he wants to go out of his way to help someone elses life be that much better. Make them, feel healthy and happy to walk around shirtless. I'd honestly would want to meet him in public and train with him, though that day may never happen due to travel. I referraling him, because he's a nice guy, if it was to help you train or not. Thanks Dave! -Ian

Latest Review: Phil is very knowledgeable and encouraging with his routines he puts together for me. I've had two knee surgeries and he always manages to push me as much as I need by also slightly a bit more to help me get stronger innthe areas I need to improving in. I've not only only achieved my initial goals weight loss of 15 pesky pounds but I can also walk up stairs without having to pull myself up with the banister.

Latest Review: Melba is the epitome of a motivational speaker. I have tried diets before, but now I realize I was reaching for the wrong goal. After her presentation, I realize my objectives should be healthy eating and life style change. Melba didn't just talk the talk, she walked the walk (literally, showing how she lost weight and sometimes walk out her shoes). Her knowledge about weight loss and getting healthy is so apparent. I was so inspired and motivated by her that I ordered my book within days of her lecture and was anxious to start before my book came. I never thought I would be drinking anything green, but the recipe with the fruit helped me. I actually enjoy the green smoothies now. I lost 7 lbs during my first cleanse. This was excellent for me. Once I got the book, I read it twice and still refer to it. Melba was a godsend, because I need to get healthy and get off diabetes and high blood pressure medicine. She shared info about the support you can get online and that is very useful info. I started my second cleanse on 9/19 and I pray this one will be successful also. I believe things happen for a reason, I was supposed to meet Melba on August 27, 2016.
