I had an urgent need for 2 doors to be installed after a break in. After scouring the local businesses, as well as myriad online offerings (each claiming lengthy delays), I found myself at Thumbtack. After entering just a little information, I almost immediately received a reply from Steve, who suggested a meeting to go over exactly what I needed to be done. I loved the fact that not only was he quick to respond but that he was willing to meet and offer a free estimate; some of my other attempts wanted to quote prices without seeing the location!
We met the next morning and after taking a good look at what was needed he gave me what I can only say was an exceptionally fair price. As I have absolutely no repair skills to speak of, and Steve made sure I completely understood what was needed and why. He took the extra time to ensure I was completely comfortable with the process.
He also explained that while he does not personally purchase materials, he is more than willing to meet his customers at the business of their choosing, make recommendations and transport all materials. It just doesn't get any easier!
The installation process went perfectly. He was prompt and, again, made sure I was informed as to what he was doing and why.
My experience was so positive that I had him give me an estimate to replace a broken window too. Again, it was an exceptionally fair price so it was added to our project. The outcome was well beyond my expectations. He did such a great job that we are now talking about additional projects -- I have even recommended him to some close friends!!!
Steve made a situation that, truth be told, I was very skeptical of, not to mention loathing, into a most pleasant experience. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Great workmanship at exceptional prices -- it just doesn't get any better!
