OJ is 1 of the best personal trainers I've ever come into contact with. For starters, your initial meeting is a workout created to personalize your strengths and weaknesses for future sessions. Afterwards, he speaks with you regarding your target goals, time frame, ideal weight etc. Meanwhile, he's compiling a special profile just for you in his computer. He sends weekly updates on your progress like: body fat percentage and weight loss/gain. In addition, he also sends motivational text messages during the week. He really is the most professional personal trainer I've ever encountered. I'm just 3 weeks into my training sessions and I'm already seeing results. Thanks OJ!

When I first decided to start working out with a personal trainer, I looked online for personal trainers in Pasadena. I ultimately decided to go with Hugo based on all of the positive reviews I read of him on here. Since the reviews initially helped me make a decision on choosing Hugo as my personal trainer, I just had to leave my own review. Before committing to train with Hugo, he offered me an introductory deal so that I could experience working out with him. The first couple sessions he evaluated my strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. Once my fitness level and goals were established, Hugo set up a training program and nutritional plan for me. He begins every session by explaining and demonstrating the exercises in the circuit. He also clarifies and demonstrates the importance of proper form, which makes it really easy for me since I'm a visual learner. At any point during the exercise if I forget to use proper form, Hugo reminds me and encourages me throughout. He is very good at helping me understand which muscles each exercise is working out. I like how during every session, he is focused, patient, and motivates me to make sure I'm giving it my all. His professionalism and friendliness make it all that much more of a positive experience training with him. I've been training with Hugo for about three months now, and I can say that I'm truly happy with my results so far. My strength and endurance have greatly increased since our first session. I've noticed my body fat decrease and my muscle mass increase. I also feel much better when I'm exercising and eating healthy, it has greatly helped with my anxiety. I definitely plan on continuing to train with Hugo. I'm excited to see how my fitness level and physique continue to progress. I'm glad that I chose Hugo as my personal trainer, it is obvious that he loves what he does and cares about his clients. I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Over the past several years, I have worked with and been trained by several trainers, but I found Manuk to be personable, compassion and above concerned about his clients training goals. His drive for the client's success and his "no non-sense" approach to workout training, I found to be commendable. Jake helped me with training advice and nutrition advice when he used to live in the UK, before he moved to LA. His information has really helped me, both in terms of improving health and fitness levels. He is incredibly motivating and inspiring - and he was so keen to help me as an individual and find out what would work best for me. So many times I have tried to lose the weight that I gained over the last 10 years. I wanted to feel that confidence again when I looked at my body in the mirror. I have tried many diets, gym memberships, DVDs and other trainers. I crossed paths with Meghan through my daughter and it was one of the best things that could have happen to me. I was at a low point with feeling that I was never go to lose the weight and would probably never get back the confidence. Meghan was my trainer for 4 months and in that time I found someone that not only knows what’s she is talking about but each and every time I trained with her she was not only my motivational support in my physical growth but emotional as well. It's been a year since I started working with Derek. In this one year I've learnt a lot from Derek in terms of overall fitness, exercises, right postures, nutrition and so on. He does due diligence with your current physical state and tailors the exercises according to what is best for your body. Phil is the perfect trainer if you're looking for someone who: Focuses on fitness and health as well as looking good. Is excellent at assessing the best workout for you according to what you want. Is a positive motivator. Has a great sense of humor and at the same time is professional and conscientious. I've had several trainers over the years. When my friend asked me if I wanted to train with Phil I was hesitant. Being a trained massage therapist and reflexologist, I'm educated in anatomy and physiology. Jim is an excellent trainer. He has great rapport, and he's very creative and inventive in coming up with ways to build muscle and core strength and stamina . So far we've met three times, and I feel 100% better already - fatigued but with a feeling of accomplishment. I actually look forward to each workout because I know Jim will help me meet my goals. What I like about Jim the best, though, is something he does after the workout. He just texts a word of encouragement or a thumbs up or a note on how I did. I've worked out with many trainers in the past, and no one has done that. It's a great way to keep this 66 year old motivated. I highly recommend him.

I have tried several hot diets - Atkins, South Beach, Paleo - and cleanses that made me feel like I was losing weight but made my energy plummet so fast that I could barely work my eyelids. I have been a dedicated member of my local gym but the personal trainers I had hired at the gym weren't making me look and feel how I wanted. A colleague recommended I contact Kaitlyn. I am so glad I did! Kaitlyn debunked most of the diet myths I had grown to believe. She changed the way I think about eating, what I eat, and how I prepare my foods. I never knew my vitamix blender, cast iron skillet, and baking sheet would get so much use! Her meal plans are easy to prepare, simple, and delicious. I'm allowed to eat carbs! And chocolate! The best thing is that when my husband and I are done with a meal, I'm not left starving and thinking about what strange diet pudding I should allow myself to gorge on as dessert (her meals are WHOLE and SATISFYING). Kaitlyn has been my personal trainer since October 2014. She has been incredible! Kaitlyn is thorough in her training program; asking for any injuries, asking what my goals are, keeping me accountable and making sure I reach my goals. She is quick to make tweaks to the session if I have injuries. She mixes the sessions and avoids repeat workouts (unless they are my favorite). One of the things I really appreciate about Kaitlyn is she gets really creative with my workouts, which makes them so much fun! Over the 18 months she has been my trainer I am considerably stronger, more flexible, faster and leaner. Kaitlyn is very good about emphasizing healthy life decisions, which I really appreciate. I will be honest and admit I haven't always led the healthiest of lifestyles. I feel so good after our session and want to carry that feeling for as long as I can so I now try to make healthier life decisions by thinking twice about the foods I eat and activities I do. Setting up my first appointment with Steve was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. In the past, I had many problems and issues with my body (e.g. tennis elbow, wrist/grip issues, and other orthopedic problem). I didn’t have the knowledge nor the confidence to go to the gym without the fear of injuring myself from my physical limitations. However, Steve helped me resolve these issues by focusing on proper form in order to prevent injuries. He designed personalized routines that tailored to my condition and needs. After several weeks, I began to see significant improvements in my body such as gain in muscle mass and strength. Now, I’m able to finish any type of exercises/workout routines appropriately and accurately without injuring myself. I think the improved results from working with Steve spoke the most. Despite my physical limitations, I was able to successfully gain strength and stability without any problems. In fact, issues with my body (tennis elbow, wrist/grip issues, and orthopedic problem) have begun to disappear. At the same time, I was also able to lift heavier weights. I won’t be as strong as I am now without Steve. I have trained with Steve for almost six months now and I am planning to continue. I have worked with many Trainers before because I modeled and have been a working actor since I was young. In the past I seem to find them plentiful in LA but they always lacked something. I would get guys who didn't know how to train women or they would be too easy on me. I found it extremely refreshing to find Eric. He wasn't a guy just out of college without much experience yet he was cutting edge w/ his exercises. He challenged me in every way. He honestly should be charging twice as much! Tom Munizza has been my personal trainer for the past 18 years at the Powerhouse Gym in Chatsworth. During this time I have observed numerous other trainers at our gym Tom is by far the most professional, most patient, most caring and best personal trainer I have seen. I get numerous compliments on how great my body looks and a very large part of it is due to Tom and how he has helped me to shape my body. He truly cares about your form and safety in regards to proper weight lifting in addition to you as a person. Jared Hughes was my personal fitness trainer for 2 and 1/2 years. We worked together faithfully 3 times a week. Jared would assist me with the exercises that were a bit difficult for me. If I was able to complete the exercise myself he was there to spot me. He kept an eye on my posture and voiced corrections to make if necessary. He kept track of my progress on charts that came with the P90X program. During the workout sessions he would encourage and complement me. Jared was always on time and very polite and charming. He demonstrated professional behavior at all times even with his choice of music. I was able to fully concentrate on my form while he counted and knew what exercise was next on the list. First of all, its great to see Mami going independent. I am her former client, I moved to Chicago a while back, but hey, this girl really changed my body type from being obese to being in shape. She is a very creative and motivated trainer and knows how to train others w some fun exercises. I don't like jogging or treadmill for that I have to do like 10-20minutes. So she came up w some fun cardios to make me forget that I am training. Well training is supposed to be fun, and by having fun and often times being pushed by her, I have been losing weight and gaining a toned body. She has dance, gymnastics, martial arts skills and she is capable of mixing those exercises into our sessions. Her nutrition knowledge is great as well. Been with her for about 3months already.
