I've been taking voice lessons with Griff for about 4 months now, and it's been amazing! I already feel more confident about my voice and he's helped me learn to open up my voice more and sing with more resonance. He's a great, hilarious, and awesome teacher and knows how to put you at ease (especially since I was very nervous at the start). Looking forward to continuing my lessons and seeing where my voice can go! Thanks for everything Griffmeister! :)
When I came to Jan, I had damaged my voice with another coach with only 2 weeks to my next show. I was feeling really hurt and my voice had been hoarse for 6 days due to the last lesson I took. Jan gave me a warm up plan for my voice that would allow me to practice without risking further damage to my vocal cords. After following her prescription, I could feel my voice starting to respond. After 3 lessons my voice is returning to health and sounding sweeter again. I still have one more lesson before show time. I have no doubt all is and will be well for me on that stage. Yay! I'm so grateful to have found you.
I'm a songwriter that wanted to learn how to sing my own music. I've attempted to sing off and on for many years, but never really felt confident in my abilities. In as few as four weeks Richard not only made me more confident, but he has also greatly improved my voice. The reaction of my band-mates at the first rehearsal after several voice lessons was proof enough! Richard is great and he is a pleasure to work with.
I started lessons with Stephanie back in March and she has been a great teacher! I've already felt myself improving my breath control and intonation (she has perfect pitch!). She is patient, kind, and flexible. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher to anyone interested in taking voice lessons!
I graduated with a degree in theatre and have always wanted to sing. I've toured with my dad and have taken voice lessons with many teachers over the years. Rickie Gole is the teacher I have been looking for my whole life. When I first tried her class all I knew about her was that her students (who I went to school with) were always getting cast and hired. They had beautiful voices and I wanted so badly to sing like them. Since taking lessons with her for about a month now I have discovered something else. I am finding a new voice that is completely mine. I leave her classes more confident, happier, and freer. My biggest obstacle so far is trying not to get emotional because my voice is shocking me. It's how I've always wanted to sing and never believed I could. I completely don't recognize it. Her genuinely warm and encouraging presence makes me unafraid to make mistakes and try new things and because of that I'm singing like I never have in my life. Thank you Rickie.
James is amazing. He really teaches you how to appreciate your talent and be patient with yourself. I had him for guitar and voice lessons. Really great place to grow musically .
Marquita has been giving my daughter voice lessons for almost a year, she absolutely loves her and has made such a difference in her vocal ability. ...
I have been taking lessons with Jamie since the middle of November. A short time after my lessons began I could already read the sheet music. She is very organized, she printed off helpful tips and music I was interested in and put them all in a folder with page protectors. She is always ready to go when I walk in for my lesson. Also she is very patient with my many mistakes.
By far the most amazing vocal lessons ever. Immediate success, Radina is a very friendly teacher. Great techniques and very well explained, for me as a beginner exactly what I was looking for! I would recommend one full lesson a week.
Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! Not only a voice teacher, or a music instructor, but, "a guide". Dena Murray is a spiritual guide, an expert of your own instrument, called "voice". I've been a professional singer so I've met other "voice teachers", but, leaving the record studio, it was always the same questions : alone with my own voice habits, my own daily routine... knowing nothing about who my voice is, not so comfortable and friendly with it. Then, I've met "Voice Yogi" Dena Murray... No matter my travels (Los Angeles, Paris, ...), she made me find my real voice (by lessons in West Hollywood, or by Skype, or with her books...). Yes, I did found my real voice because of Dena Murray ! And it is such a spiritual and beautiful trip ! Grateful.
I would like to share my very strong endorsement of Bonnie Kousoulakis. As a classically-trained vocalist who has studied at both Brigham Young University and in the Oregon State University music program, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different vocal instructors over the years. I can say without hesitation that none have helped me in to realize my potential as a classical vocalist more than Ms. Kousoulakis. Her understanding of vocal technique and ability to help her students achieve their fullest potential, especially for the male voice, is in my experience, unparalleled. Before I began studying with Ms. Kousoulakis about 15 months ago, I was merely a singer with potential, much of which had been untapped. I lacked confidence in myself and had not developed a strong understanding of exactly how to use my instrument to its fullest potential. However, with the assistance of Ms. Kousoulakis, I have been able to achieve a quality of singing and a belief in myself that has led me to give serious consideration to pursuing a full-time professional career for the first time since I left college more than a decade ago. My experiences as her student, combined with an understanding of her own education, professional background in opera and her passion for the art, give me great confidence in recommending her.
My daughter has learned a great deal under the Zach's coaching and leadership. He has taught her how to better take care of and use her voice. He has taught her how to perform. She has grown in confidence and ability. Her range has increased as she has learned how to tend to and exercise her vocal instrument. She has also learned songwriting, and grown in that area as well, as she now better understands how to put a song together. The joy and passion that Zach has for music is infectious, and that has definitely caught fire in her as well - that might be my favorite part!
Joey is a fantastic and understanding teacher. He had me singing in a way I didn't realize was possible. I also am taking piano lessons from him, and Joey understands my goals and style. A+
Been taking Guitar/Vocal lessons with Michael for 7 years. Not only is he a skilled Musician and Teacher, but he is also an exemplar and will push you out of your comfort zone.
If you want singing lessons from someone who is confident and you are not afraid to try singing with a different approach, you definitely will want to have lessons from Michael Jones.
I always enjoy our French lessons!
I've always wanted to try piano lessons and came across Shannon Hunt Music online- and decided to give it a try! I have always wanted to learn to play and Shannon is a great place to start. She is fun, warm, easy to learn from, and there is never a dull moment. We are 5 lessons in and I am already feeling at home at the keyboard. Would highly recommend her to anyone!!
Spending every Thursday evening taking music lessons with Leah was one of the best parts of my childhood. I began taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and continued to take them until I graduated high school. Growing up, I learned so much from Leah about music theory, playing techniques, and life in general. Leah is one of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take music lessons. She's supportive, creative, and constantly smiling. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!
My daughter is very happy with Pierson as her piano teacher. It is a pleasure working with him. Has the right approach to make the lessons fun and engaging.
Amazing voice that delivered the music with passion and control.
