We've referred Ms. Hawk to several friends and colleagues for many forms of instruction: math, English, SAT prep, college counseling. She's a wonderful educator!
I highly recommend Lynne as an English tutor. With her help I've significantly improved my communication and writing skills.
Nick did an excellent job tutoring English to my daughter. Highly recommend.
Jenny was a fantastic ACT tutor for my son! I could not have picked a better tutor. Jenny worked with him this summer and was able to quickly ascertain his areas of strength and areas for needed development for the ACT. She also quickly assessed his learning style and put together an efficient customized learning/tutoring plan and tutoring schedule for the summer that helped him make huge strides in both his strongest and weakest sections of the ACT, improving his already high comprehensive test results by 5 points thus far with another week of tutoring yet to go! In particular she did an amazing job tutoring him on the English portion, helping him go from a 26 to a 35 in that section! He has really enjoyed working with her and looked forward to their tutoring sessions. I will be signing my younger son up for ACT tutoring with Jenny next summer for sure!
This is a great service and I highly recommend Laura Valdes as a Spanish tutor! She has the ability to customize her tutoring to the needs of the student and provides excellent support.
My daughter's ACT English and ACT Math tutors provided frequent updates about what has been covered in each session. It’s nice to be updated with my daughter’s learning progress.
Lauri is an amazing teacher. I had tried to work with my step children on speaking English but really could not get them to concentrate and take the process seriously. I started sessions with Lauri and after 2 sessions my step son was asking me question in English (not the clearest pronunciation) but I could understand what he was asking me. Lauri thank you so much for helping my kids with their English and making their classes fun for them.
She is great! I was in need of a SAT english tutor in order to compete for a spot at the United States Military Academy at West Point. She showed up on time and if needed would stay extra to make sure I actually improved. I was extremely confident heading into my test and was accepted into West Point. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of any help with english. In addition, she helped me with writing a letter to West Point on why I want to attend. She is great!!!
Joseph Descans helped me with the editing of several documents. His knowledge and editing skills were outstanding, and his patience with the process was the best part. It can be tremendously frustrating when you have "writer's block" and the words just don't come out right, but a patient tutor is such a great asset to have in your back pocket!
Joshua is an amazing tutor who always manages to explain everything in an easily cromprehendable way. I would highly recommend his services. Not only is he a great tutor but he makes learning a lot less boring.
Wendy was an amazing fit with our son. He needed someone who would be there to teach when necessary and to pull him along when he was capable, but not motivated to do the work. I would whole heatedly recommend Wendy to anyone needing assistance. I assure you it will be time well spent. My son had less than a 2.0 before working with her as a sophomore and his final semester of his senior year was a 3.8. We tried many tutors before and around Wendy, because I wanted my son to have a tutor 4 nights a week and in the end only Wendy connected with him and made a difference on just 2 nights a week, instead of 4. I have given Wendy permission to give my number to interested parties, if they wish to speak to me directly for feedback.
I was asked to remain at a local elementary school even after the teacher I was subbing for returned. With district H R approval, I was asked to take over that class while the teacher on extended leave was asked to do assessment testing for multiple grades upon her return..This was a huge compliment to me and my abilities to create "a sense of community" for the students who had multiple subs and loss of continuity and progress.
Great service. Responsiveness and accommodations are among top traits of his quality of work. I look forward to having him on another project.
