Even though he could not unclog the drain he worked very hard and, in my opinion, went above and beyond to try to do the job. I would definitely recommend working with Sergio. He was very nice and helpful.

Cesar was very professional and explained everything he was going to do. He asked before he removed pieces of hardware that were no longer viable. He changed out our kitchen faucet, cleared a drain and was able to get a hot water faucet working again after a year. I would highly recommend All In One Plumbing & Drains...they do it all.

Accurate Service Co responded immediately to my clogged drain problem in a branch sewer line. They arrived within three hours, provided a professional service, and resolved the issue during the first visit for the price initially quoted. I was so please with their service I asked Norman for additional business cards to pass on to my friends and business colleagues. When my problem arose I checked out Mike Diamond "the smell good plumber" and decided not to use them when I notice a Yelp rating of 1.5 out of 5. I very pleased I found Norman at Accurate Service Co.

This is not intended to be a bad review. It is an honest one. Brandon was excellent! He was friendly and personable. I have nothing negative to say about him or the service he rendered and I thank him. He represented his company in a positive and good light and does credit to his employer. As far as the value is concerned? I believe the price given was misleading. Usually the word "total" when used with the words, "$89 total price," denotes what it says and implies actual value regardless of any further writings otherwise it is pointless to make the assertion unless it was intended to entice. Had I known it would double in price when he arrived, I would have checked with other plumbers for a better price. Given the $89 minimum service charge, I could not see me paying him to leave and get someone else for less. I look at it from a simple viewpoint: it took 38 minutes to clear a blockage some 4 feet away or so. That cost me $175 and that was with a $40 discount for being a new customer. So, the misleading $89 total amount should have read "$215 for previous customers. Or, if you are a new customer, $40 off of that $215 price. I would have bypassed that offer and gone with the one in Murrieta who told me he would unclog any drain for $85. I thought choosing a company closer to my locale (Lake Elsinore) for only $4 more was a better idea at the time only because of distance and time. However, the offer was false and misleading and I fell for it. Now, don't get me wrong. The service quality was excellent! It was the false advertising which hooked me and trapped me that I take exception. Would I use their services for my home again? Probably not even though they are very good at what they do. They are simply way too expensive and I don't like being deceived. I just know that the same services can be had for far less with many other plumbing companies.

I hired Ocho Plumbing to entirely replace a bathroom faucet, drain a shower drain and repair the parts inside a toilet tank. Edgar was very responsive. He arrived on time. He communicated estimates and pricing ahead of doing the work. He was honest and very professional. The work he did was excellent and he cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend him!

The job started out as a straight forward clean out of a backyard drain. It quickly turned into unforeseen horrible mess, requiring major work to clear/replace the drain to the street which had been crushed by a large tree root. Mr. McIntyre rerouted the drain and got everything functioning again. He is very professional & pleasant to deal with. He was always prompt and arrived at the job when he said he would be there. He left the work area neat and clean at the end of each day. It took some trial and error to figure out the best way to go about fixing the problem, but once the best way was figured out the job went very smoothly.

The plumber showed up on time, fixed my drain issue, made sure that everything was working correctly and charged me the agreed upon amount. Considering how annoying plumbing issues are, overall an excellent experience.

We had a leak out by our sprinkler main and we had All Pro come out to take a look at it. The tech sent out was Joseph Alarcon and he did a fantastic job. He repaired the pipe & cleaned up everything before he left. He was such a pleasant person to be around and always had a smile on his face. The price was very resonable and I will highly recommend him and All Pro to all my friends and family.

American Castles Mike To the RESCUE!!! The water heater at my rental property burst on a Friday afternoon causing some major damage to the house. The renters were furious because their items got damaged and the house wasn't inhabitable after that. On the inside, the bathroom wall and under stairway closet were all soaking wet and drywall/carpet/padding had to be removed immediately to prevent mole build up. On the garage side where the water heater located, the entire wall was destroyed. so I called my home insurance who provided me with their preferred plumber who quoted an additional $540 out of pocket on top of what the insurance was going to cover just so he can bring up the water heater installation to code! He told me that it will take him 1+ week to order the water heater (duh...get one from Home Depot take only 1hr...which is what Mike did) and that he can install a temporary water heater and will charge $137/wk! He also referred me to a water damage restoration company which I was not too happy with either. Since it was an emergency and I went with that company. They came in and ripped out all the wet drywall without caring for any molding; especially for garage doors and closet doors! It seemed like what ever the water heater didn't damage, they did. They also broke my water heater intake shut off valve. damage the water heater over flow copper pipe. All I can say is I will not use them again! Back to the plumber, something was smelling fishy about his quote and so I called and questioned this plumber. His response was "Well, I will need to flush out the gas line and calibrate your water pressure...upgrade to the new California safety quote...put in earthquake straps...install new vent line since the new water heater nowaday don't use the old vent line!". I was not convinces so I started to Google for good local contractor and AMERICAN CASTLES (Mike Tay is the owner) came up from Thumtack along with few others from other websites. I contacted them and they came in and provided me quotes. Mike was the last one I contacted. He arrived within 30min. He checked out the damages and explained to me what needs to get done sequentially to get everything back in proper operation for my tenants. Mike is very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining things. I told him what the plumber had said, he laughed and told me the whole thing was a rip off and a scam! Another crock of bull**** and advised me against it. He told me to call my insurance company to inquire about using other plumber. Sure enough I was offered the "cash out" option which I didn't even know was available. I took that option and went with Mike for the repair. Mike knows how important it is for my tenants to get the hot water running again once the water damage restoration company completed the clean up/dry out the area (took 1 week). As soon as that company removed their equipment, Mike had his crew come in the next day (Saturday) to repair the garage dry wall and finished the installation of the new water heater and brought it up to code on safety on Sunday! He even added the water pan and installed drain pipe for me. I didn't even know such a thing exists (talk about quality...he treats it like repairing his own home!). The best part is his charge for the whole job including new water heater, earthquake straps, valve, drain pan, vent and new connection is far way less than what that plumber was going to charge me. I loved the fact he took the time to show me how things should be done up to code and what works for my situation instead of just giving a price and walking away. He did an awesome job! Unfortunately my landlord insurance's deductible was so high, I asked Mike to give me a quote for fixing the damage in the garage and inside the house. Mike's quote was very competitive and the best part is he is always willing to work with me knowing my situation (thx Mike). My bathroom paint is 16 years old so it was a challenge to match the paint for the new wall. After only quoting me for painting a small wall inside the bathroom, Mike decided on his own to paint the entire bathroom without charging for it. Now that what I call TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AND STICKING TO YOUR WORD!!! My summary is, Mike successfully completed the entire job and installation in four days. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and will definitely be using and referring him to everyone I know.

Armando came to assess my situation shortly after I called him, which was very much appreciated! After determining the problem, he came back that afternoon and snaked the drain, correcting the problem. I appreciated the fast service, and the way he explained everything to me so I would know how to prevent the same problem reoccurring in the future. This is the kind of service every business should offer! A definite 5 star review for Executive Plumbing and Drain!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What are plumbers and what do they do?

Plumbers are skilled professionals who are trained to install and maintain pipes and systems for drinking water, sewage and drainage. They usually have trained through four- to five-year training programs, which include apprenticeships, via trade schools and community colleges. Plumbers’ areas of expertise typically go beyond pipes to include mathematics, blueprint reading, plumbing codes and water distribution. They handle plumbing emergencies, such as broken pipes or clogged drains, and install and maintain everything from a new piping system to a replacement faucet. Plumbers also know how to install bathtubs and showers, toilets, water heaters and dishwashers. Plumbers may work on residential or commercial sites, sometimes designing and laying out a pipe system during construction.

How do you find a good plumber?

Whether you need a plumber to perform drain repair, install a new fixture, or replace rusty pipes, you need to make sure you hire someone reliable who will finish your job on time and within budget. Start by asking the plumbers on your short list these questions:

  • What is the total cost? Make sure your estimate includes materials and labor. Find out whether the plumber will be providing the materials and whether you’re being charged an hourly rate (which is variable) or a flat fee.
  • Is removal and cleanup included in the job? Some plumbers leave behind old parts, while others include the cleanup in the cost.
  • Is the work guaranteed? Find out whether the work (as well as the parts or fixtures) are guaranteed under a warranty.
