Coastal Music Studios....hmmm. where do I start! We began with Coastal Music Studios about three years ago when my two daughters took a "free" week-long music summer camp. I was so impressed by the hands-on learning that was taking place that I knew I needed to look into this place a bit closer. Found out that they not only offered the music camp but also a '"free" children's choir, which both my girls have attended. I quickly set up an appointment to see if my girls would like to take music lessons. After that meeting, one daughter began piano lessons and the other voice. Mr. Andy and Ms. Pam have been absolutely amazing with regards to my girls' and their music experience. They are patient, knowledgeable, engaging, and caring. Those qualities are extremely important to all children, but when you have a child with special needs, it becomes even more so. My daughter is deaf and has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Pam for the past 2 1/2 years. On my daughters first lesson, Ms. Pam had researched cochlear implants and already had a plan in place to ensure that my daughter would get the most of her lesson. And then there's my other daughter, spunky, feisty, and full of piss and vinegar, and Ms. Pam knows how to deal with that, too! We cannot thank them enough and appreciate all that they do for all children to bring a love of music to their hearts. I would highly recommending Coastal Music Studios, you cannot find a better studio!

An exciting learning experience! I have had lessons for a month with my instructor Bill, and will continue to study with him in the future. He is an excellent teacher. Nothing to nit-pick, everything is just amazing. He taught every single detail of what I should know about drumming, recommended a really helpful textbook to me, and even helped to make my practice a great fun other than a dull work for a beginner. I really appreciate that. If someone is expecting to have an effective and pleasing learning experience, just go ahead try to work with Bill. It is absolutely worth the time and effort.

My wife started our 15 year old daughter on violin lessons over Christmas break- since then she has gained confidence in her playing and the sound is much improved as well. She loves the duets that her teacher brings to play together, and it has taught her how to listen more and helped in school orchestra as well. Thank you Jamie!

My experience with Linda was very positive. Linda is a very patient, knowledgeable, and mild mannered teacher. She is clear and concise with direction and explains things so that my sons understood what they were doing right, what they needed to improvement on, and what the expectations were. Linda was punctual and ready at my sons lesson start times and had each of their sessions well planned out. She is dedicated to them learning piano and seeing them progress. I would not hesitate to refer her service to anyone who wants their child to learn music.

As an adult who previously played but stopped for many years before coming back to my violin, Jazzly has been a perfect match for me; she immediately zeroed in on my strengths and weaknesses and quickly put together a study/practice plan which has me making progress on the road towards my playing goals. I look forward to and enjoy each lesson. I could't recommend her more highly.

Richard teaches violin to my 16 y/o son. Richard's easy-yet-scholarly manner is a total win with a student this age. My son's progress has been remarkable. Richard is astute at facilitating the next step at each point of development. He is skilled, encouraging, and engaging and my son is very happy with the lessons, as am I!

The two years that my daughter has been taking piano lessons with Elite Musique piano teacher, Kelly, has been nothing but a positive experience. My daughter's favorite aspect is preparing and performing for the company-organized open mic nights. As a parent, I have been impressed with Kelly's knowledge and professionalism, her genuine attention to my daughter's advancement in piano (and voice) skills, and the performing and testing opportunities.

My name is Tuan Hoang . In 2003 I was looking for a violin teacher and I was 21 year old that time. I found miss Cynthia studio located in Irvine and decided to meet her in person and ready for my violin lessons which I am dreaming studying violin since I was little ( I moved to the United States in 2001 ) my English at that time was very poor in speaking and listening I did afraid how we gonna communicate and study my violin lessons. Fortunately,ms Cynthia was and still be my mentor my inspiration and always showing her great ability and talent to work with adult student like me. I am saying here about her experiences not only working with students from toddler up to teenage. She is very knowledgeable to work with adult students like me as an example. I was studying violin with ms Cynthia for 4 years and finished book 4 Suzuki method. That was my incredible achievement that I never thought I would get from anywhere other than ms Cynthia studio and her teaching. I am currently working and playing violin on the side for my local churches and some special events during the year. I was helping ms Cynthia teaching violin for young students at occtac in Santa Ana for couple seasons. If you are very interested how to play a violin doesn't matter what age you are ( it's never late to start to working on anything you love ) please don't hesitate to contact ms Cynthia about her passionate teaching and assisting you 😘 thank you ms Cynthia for being such a wonderful violin teacher. If you have any questions about how I witnessed my experience with ms Cynthia studio and her teaching. Please feel free to email me at tuanhoang0330@gmail.com . I would love to give her 5 stars on this review.

Connie is a very patient violin instructor. I have been taking lessons for over a year and have progressed faster than I imagined I would. She is excellent at teaching the nuances of each piece and can easily determine the cause of mistakes. She then helps you correct your mistakes to get the best tone quality from the violin and make the piece easier to play. I get a lot of enjoyment from my lessons!

About

While I love performing, my true passion lies in teaching violin I have been trained in violin pedagogy through a program offered at Biola University. I specifically love working with children. In my past experience with teaching children, I have had the privilege of seeing their simple joy and eagerness. I believe that children can best thrive and learn if their learning styles are catered to and if they are loved. One of my goals as a teacher is to discover how I can best help the student learn. Is the student a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner? Does the student better understand the technical concepts if I use helpful analogies? My greatest goal as a teacher is to love my students. Originally, Suzuki initiated his violin teaching program not for the purposes of raising musical prodigies (which incidentally ended up happening), but for the purposes of nurturing children into noble souls who eagerly engaged in the pursuit of goodness, beauty, and truth. I believe that since goodness, beauty, and truth are inherent in music; it has the potential to transform someone's life. However, without the catalyst of love, music can be rendered to a mere means of selfish gain. I believe that it is through the unconditional love that parents and teachers offer their kids/students, regardless of their skill, that the students begin to explore the beauty of music. As far as my teaching methods are concerned, I prefer using the Suzuki method to teach beginners. The Suzuki method is a highly esteemed violin pedagogy method that allows students to play pieces by ear (as opposed to reading music). I believe that the Suzuki method allows the beginner students to concentrate on technical concepts and ear training skills without the added complication of learning how to read notes. About half way through book 2 (out of the 10 suzuki books), I like to introduce the student to note reading with supplemental sight-reading, rhythm, and etude books. While there are 10 suzuki books, I will only teach up to book 5. After that point, I like to choose pieces that will best suite the student's technical needs. I also like to supplement the Suzuki books with additional positioning and scale books. About me: I have been studying the violin since the age of 5. I have studied at the Colburn school of music in Los Angeles with Dr. Chan Ho Yun and I currently study with Elizabeth Larson at Biola University (Violin Performance Major). My achievements include: soloing with the Loma Linda Academy Chamber Orchestra, leading the Biola String Quartet, performing in a masterclass taught by the world renowned Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), and performing with the Biola Symphony Orchestra as assistant concertmaster.

About

I have been playing piano for 20 years and cello for 15. I can tutor both instruments as well as music theory.

About

My name is Jorge De la Cruz, I am 21 years old, and I am from South America. I started playing the violin when I was five years old, at the National Conservatory of Music (Lima, Peru), studying with Fabian Silva Franco (ex-conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra in Peru) and years later, with Maria Foust (actual Concertmaster of the N.S.O. in Peru). I've played with different Orchestras in my country, and here in the United States. As a teacher, I've worked with a Russian association of musicians, by providing music lessons totally free, for low-income people in Peru. I've worked also in the most important music store and academy in my country for 3 years. I use a suitable and different method for each student under my supervision, getting very fast results and working in their special goals. It focuses on theory and technique. I love teaching music lessons; and under my supervision, you will learn fast! I am perfectionist, my method is proof of an entire life playing the violin.
