Pete's training was "Training the Trainer". It was amazing! He's punctual, and very professional. The guidelines and notes that Pete provided was very helpful. He also demonstrated how to train. I agree with Pete that it is always better that the owner of the dog train so that the bonding is better. With just two hours of training, my dog has already picked up few commands. Thank you Pete! Gene is polite and well versed in the area of dog training. So far we are in the puppy class and hope to progress to Protection training. He cares for his own dogs and the dogs of others. Couldnt recommend a better dog trainer in the area. So far all his predictions were correct about our Belgian Malinois. Droopy ears no longer droop. Hire him. You wont regret it.

There is no question that every dog is different. This is why I don't apply one dog training philosophy to every dog and owner I teach. When I train, I take many philosophies into consideration, while always staying within the positive training realm, and then tailor the training session to what works best for you and your dog. Tailored Dog Training is owned and operated by Ally Lantis. Located in Concord, California, she holds dog training classes at Newhall Park in Concord, as well as conducting private sessions at people's homes. See the training page for more information on pricing and training methods used.

I am a certified dog trainer, dog walker, and pet sitter available in Marin County. I am a graduate of the SFSPCA dog training academy. I have over 10 years of veterinary technician experience, as well as over 10 years of pet sitting and dog walking experience. I am a member of APDT, and I am licensed and insured. I also have excellent references available upon request. I specialize in puppy manners and basic obedience. I also walk all types and breeds of dogs. I offer both private training walks and group walks, taking a maximum of four dogs per walk. It's a lot more fun for both me and the dogs. So, if you need help with the "four-legged" members of your family, please contact me. I do offer a 20% discount for rescues. Thank you. - Noelle Murphy

I have worked with a few different organizations, fostering and working as a kennel assistant and animal behaviorist. I handle large to small dogs, aggressive to abused dogs, from giving baths to clipping nails, grooming, kennel training, puppy training and much more. I have been working with dogs for over 15 years, and I enjoy it to the extreme! Boarding: As of right now, I board only four different dogs from four families at once. I believe that it's very important to give my clients the most attention needed as possible while their moms and dads are away! I love being able to give one-on-one attention. When dogs are placed in a new environment, it's very important to give them the most comfort possible and to make my home their home away from home! My focus is all on the dogs! I run my boarding business out of my single-family home, and it's comfortable, cozy, clean, and warm! I have a nice, small, gated, and safe backyard for some outdoor air, and I use my garage as a playroom for the dogs to run around in and lounge in! I strongly suggest to bring you and your pooch over for a short visit before deciding to to have me board your special furry friend! My services include the following: * 3 to 4 times a day of long walks * Dog parks (weather permitted) -- I enjoy Pt. Isabel Park, Richmond, CA * Cage free daily (unless for training purposes only) -- During the evening, I do crate them for safety at night. * Crate training * Leash training * Baths before going home; it's free of charge with a three-night stay or longer * Light grooming * Nail clipping * Free night if dropped off on the night before you leave, between the hours of 9 and 11 p.m. with a two-night stay or longer * Pickup or drop-off with an extra small fee in the East Bay Dogs with special needs are okay. Special instructions are okay, as well as medications. I send picture updates on how your pooch is doing daily through email or picture mail to your cell phone! (doggy cam soon) All dogs must be on flea medication at the time of visit. If we see fleas, we will give them a shampoo flea dip and apply advantage for an extra cost of $20.00, to keep our canines happy, healthy and clean of fleas. Boarding Prices: This includes full-day care and overnight stay (Holidays are the same prices; they never increase). We also offer long-term boarding! All dogs must be picked up by 7:00 p.m. on any given day; after 7 p.m., we do charge $10.00 per hour for additional care after 7 p.m. We have the following rates: * Extra large dogs -- $55.00 per day; second is $50.00 * Large dogs -- $45.00 per day; second dog is $40.00 per day * Medium dogs -- $35.00 per day; second dog is $30.00 per day * Small dogs (under 20 lbs) -- $25.00 per day; second dog is $20.00 per day Day Care: We will soon have openings for full-time day care, and we are asking if you are looking for full-time day care soon. We are taking applications, and we would like to review our candidates. Day care rates is $38.00 per day, from Monday to Sunday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monthly membership is $30.40 per day with a savings of $152.00 per month. East Bay Paws will be offering financial aide to those who are low-income Oakland residents! It's coming soon! Our website is under construction! Please email us with any information or questions you may have. We look forward to working with you and your four-legged friend! References are available upon request! Our license number is 124753. Thank you.

SIRIUS Dog Training

SIRIUS® currently has over 20 locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. SIRIUS® Puppy Training Classes literally redefined and overturned pet dog training. In reality, SIRIUS® created the area of pet dog training. Prior SIRIUS, there were virtually no food lures and rewards, simply no family puppy classes, and not much enjoyment in dog training. Most classes simply taught grownup dogs repetitious on-leash obedience drills. SIRIUS® emphasized the importance of teaching bite inhibition, early socialization, temperament training, and easy solutions for usual and predictable behavior problems, as well as basic household manners. Moreover, SIRIUS® championed user-friendly and dog-friendly dog training—specifically, that training ought be as pleasurable for dogs as it is for possessors, and that training ought only involve quick, effective, and easy steps that are within the capacities of all family members, especially including children. During the '80s, the SIRIUS® Puppy Training video—the all-time best-selling, and the very first dog training video ever produced—helped spread the word about lure/reward, fun and games dog-friendly dog training. In the '90s, SIRIUS® was adapted for television and Dogs With Dunbar turned to be the first hit TV series since Barbara Woodhouse. The program broadcasted on Discovery Channel in Europe, and then in lots of countries all over the world. SIRIUS® established the hallmark for puppy classes, and its concept has been adapted and adopted by most educated trainers. All thanks to SIRIUS®, puppy classes are now instructed throughout the world.

I offer dog training, puppy classes, private training, boarding and training, and phone consultations. I have been involved with dogs for over 20 years in a variety of capacities. Mike has performed approximately 15,000 in-home behavioral consultations covering the entire spectrum of dog behavior, from the mundane to the bizarre. I am also an author and lecturer. I teach classes, run a small boarding and training operation, and have occasionally trained other trainers. My training approach focuses on channeling a dog's natural drives and instincts into behaviors acceptable in the human pack, primarily through the principles of positive reinforcement, as well as through methods that appeal to the dog's canine sensibilities. I have been certified as an expert on dog behavior by the California Superior Court and do occasional work evaluating dogs in legal matters. I have been featured on Fox 5 Television's "Good Day New York", San Francisco's Channel 7 News, Animal Planet, as well as other television and radio programs nationwide. I have also been featured in major national magazines, including Fit Pregnancy (dogs and babies), Dog World, and Boston Whaler (dogs on boats), and am currently a regular contributor to The American Dog Magazine, a national publication with a circulation of 800,000. I was recently interviewed by National Geographic Magazine. In February 2006, he spoke at the annual conference for California's animal care and control organizations. Finally, I have trained dogs for high-profile celebrities in the entertainment and financial worlds, including Charles Schwab, Robin Williams, Barry Levinson, Joe Satriani, Bob Weir, Linda Ronstadt, Kirk Hammet (Metallica), and Michael Tilson Thomas, who commented that "Michael Wombacher is a maestro of dog trainers. His clarity of thinking, sense of humor, and skills in communicating make dog training fun for both pet and pet lover."
