About

I am very glad to have taken a trial lesson with Griffith. He is very knowledgeable about singing. I have studied classical singing for five years at the university, and I can tell you that Griffith's lessons are definitely on point. He reminded me of the key lessons I learned at the university, but had in part forgotten with time. Keys such as to always breathe and support the voice, to phonate as purely and naturally as possible, and to avoid all negative tongue action. His lesson reminded me of what my voice lessons were like with my former Prof, who had a doctorate in music. Interested in singing? Give Griffith a call. You won't be disappointed!

About

Rena is an excellent vocal instructor. This is the first time I've taken voice lessons, and I really appreciated first learning about my instrument with excersies that broadened my vocal range and focused on proper breathing techniques. She holds a wealth of knowledge and experience on all things voice. Lastly, she is patient but knows when to push her students to achieve their potential.

About

I used to be able to sing but now I merely croak. I just began weekly voice lessons with Natalia and after only one session my pipes are stronger and my range has improved. As a teacher she is both a delight and knows her stuff. Best of all, she's extremely encouraging and creates an environment that allows you to make mistakes. The location is both professional and warming, just like Natalia.

About

I hold a Masters in Theatre Education and have taught theatre and voice both privately and in schools. With warmth and joy, I help people to find their voice and connect to the material. I've worked with everyone from age 6 to 66. It's never too early or too late to study what you love! I specialize in auditions and have helped many young artists prepare for college or professional auditions. This process can be daunting for both students and their parents. I can help students to identify the right schools and assist with picking proper material for auditions. Then, we get down to work and I coach everything from what to wear to singing and acting. I'm also available to work on college essays. I find that many of my students are overcoming hurdles both personally and artistically. We have a lot of fun, but learn the proper techniques while building a repertoire. I look forward to meeting you!

About

Singers and speakers need a supportive environment, the right tools and individualized training to bring out their true voice and best performance. Even with natural talent, how you develop your voice makes all the difference! What Are Some Signs I Might Need A Vocal Coach? *Your voice is tired, hoarse, hurts or (worse) you lose it, after singing or speaking for a period of time. *You can't hit the high notes, are straining, or your voice cracks (especially at performances). *You don't know your vocal range, how to manage the one you have, or the best keys to sing in. *You sing flat (under the pitch), have trouble hearing the note and are out of breath consistently. *You lose tone the more you speak or can't project across a room without straining. If any of the above are you, you're in the right place. Choosing the right coach matters. I'm an experienced pro and can help you no matter where you're starting. As an artist, I had a club hit (house record), toured, etc... As a vocal coach, I've coached signed artists to just-for-themselves singers to professional speakers. Together we can come up with the best plan to get you where you're going. I also do studio vocal producing. Please check out my website. Looking forward to working with you! teri More info: Teri Danz, Ed.M. is a premier LA vocal coach and club hit recording artist with record credits, national press (Women Who Rock Magazine), '90s house club hit, and recordings in film/TV, live performances (in stores, large and small venues, festivals, TV, and NAMM). She has a BA degree in Speech, a Master's in Education and pro endorsements by Sennheiser as well as being a published author. Her book "Vocal Essentials for the Pop Singer: Take Your Singing from Good to Great" is published by Hal Leonard. Check out her articles in Music Connection Magazine, and EQ magazine.

Quotes from our students: “For three years now I have been referring my students to Lori Moran Music for vocal lessons. I appreciate the fact that the studio guides students to understand both classical and pop/musical theatre styles of singing. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for voice training to go to Lori Moran Music Studio.” --Shanti Belasco, Director & Owner, Belasco Theatre Company "I started piano lessons to better my overall musicality and because I had always had an interest in theory and reading music as a singer/song-writer. After only four lessons I felt like I was able to play at a basic level that made me want to keep learning!” --Sarah Cardenas, Singer/Songwriter "From my first lesson, I felt very comfortable and supported. I was given space when needed in my lessons but was also challenged. I really appreciated that my lessons were tailored for me. I could hear and feel the improvement in my singing after each lesson, which was exciting. I couldn't have asked for more in a voice teacher!" --Janelle, Age 27 ”Lessons are structured enough so that I know what to expect each time, but challenging enough so that I am constantly moving forward. I cannot believe the amount of progress that I have made in just a few months.” --Lonnie N. “I’m playing pieces I never dreamed I’d be playing!” --Mary V. “I have seen a clearly noticeable improvement in my daughter’s singing range and style. But I am more appreciative for something else you have somehow given her --- higher self-esteem and motivation. Your teaching has re-sparked her self-esteem, given her more confidence, and made her much more happy." --Dr. J. Springer

About

Big me up! AND NOW for Kids!! Decide, visualize and inspire. Performance coaching. Specializing in live performance coaching plus: + music mentoring + recording studio performance coaching + singer/songwriter lessons + vocal coaching for your chosen singing style What I offer you here is the very thing you need for the essence of your performance. It's not all about technicalities, although they are very important. I am more about the magic. The moments that take your breath away. The knowledge and belief in yourself that you need to move people. It is almost spiritual. To connect with your audience. "along my journey I developed an amazing eye for online self-promotion, marketing and independent music releases. I learnt how to create my image. The one thing that sold my talent. My performance. Through all of the trials and tribulations of life the thing that started my journey through all of this was the very thing that I completely understand today, as if it were like walking. My performance. My life and soul. The very tool I sell my music with. Stage presence and control. Knowing how to hold an audience member in their seat whilst they are listening to your music and to have them relate to everything you're singing. To believe in all that you have experienced. All that you stand for. This creates fans. This creates sales. This creates you. "The things we have learned and experiences we have had through life is to believe in what you are, play, say and live. You have to have complete faith in what you stand for, your message and what you want people to see" D.V.I: This is a process i've used for years and it's been the driving force to getting an amazing live performance and ensures your integrity and makes your performance experience a lot more pleasurable. "Decide" where you will be performing, what the logistics are and if it will be good for you/your band, visualize yourself there (even visit the venue prior to your performance (check sound and venue info), work out what you're going to perform and then inspire. Deciding whether you perform at at venue is extremely important. Whether it's right for you and your band. Sometimes you can simply waste your time. Sometimes you will wish that you'd never booked yourselves to play. Well, the reason is because people go to venues because they know they are going to get a particular band or sound. You don't want to hear thrash metal at a lounge bar. Sometimes it can even put people off so much that they won't have anything good to say about you or your band. Believe me, I've experienced that. The most powerful tool for you in performance is choosing. You choose to perform, you choose the place you want to showcase yourself. So if you do heavy rock you don't want to showcase at mizzy's cocktail bar, you get me? "Visualizing" where you are performing is such a powerful thing to do! When you perform you perform with the energy you have and you put all of your energy into that performance, including your thoughts, your hopes, your positive or your negative thoughts. If you're comfortable with your decision on the venue then you can visualize yourself there. You should even visit the venue and see yourself up on stage, heck maybe go up on stage and see how it feels. If the sound guy is there ask him to show you the system. Don't be afraid to, and in a lot of cases they appreciate you asking and it builds a good relationship before you even get there. "Inspire" the audience. The whole reason you do this is to inspire, to move, to send your message to the world, through your music. It's you showing yourself, sometimes (great performers) bare all on stage and connect at very high levels. If you're not going to inspire then what are you doing up on stage!?!? Once you've got all of these points in place you will rock out. You will move people.
