We spent some time getting to know each other after which I was so relieved that he had no intention of placing me on a rigorous old-school style of learning. She then shared with me that she had just hired a piano instructor who specialized in jazz piano and wished to match me with him as soon as he had completed his required onboarding. In the meantime, she asked if I would have a session today with another one of her instructors (Amy) who she believed would definitely be able to assist me in the short-term - while I waited a couple weeks for her new jazz piano instructor. Amy S. was amazing. Took my unscheduled lesson with less than two hours notice. She was punctual, polite, responsive, and confident that she could help me. And she proceeded to thoroughly guide me through piano solo parts for 4 charts that I needed to get under my hand for tomorrow night’s big band rehearsal. I’ve sat with several online instructors. The timeline was short and she had less than a week to prepare the first versions of songs. Summer was available to us by phone, email and text and responded promptly to questions and requests. She made herself available in person when it was possible and necessary. There were some issues with the singers recognizing the melody from the piano version they were provided, but Summer made herself available to go over the pieces with them. Overall I was very satisfied with her work and I look forward to our work together as she composes for the future versions of the songs written for a trio! "See more

Since my son is still very young, Cara was able to make the lessons fun and age appropriate! She is very good at cheering my son and getting him to follow instructions in a very easy way. Cara also provides great recommendations and suggestions on how to practice at home. My son had warmed up to her quickly and we feel so comfortable having her around. Cara gave us a quick sample on how she plays the piano and she played beautifully! Makes me want to enroll myself! Haha! Also we have a digital piano and she was able to adjust playing it quickly. She is always on time and she actually takes additional time to make sure my son and I understands the process and expectations. Definitely so much worth it hiring her!
