I have been taking violin lessons from Alex for several months now, and it is great! I am so happy I finally found a location that is close to my home, flexible and enjoyable! I am a older student, starting up on the violin after not playing for almost a decade and it has been a really fun experience so far! Looking forward to more lessons in the future! Thank you A Dawn of Music Studios!
My children (11 and 9) have been taking piano lessons at Coastal Music Studios for 15 months now. It's been a great learning adventure since: my daughter unlike my son started at an entry level and is now able to play a great selection of good classicals. Andy and Pam are a great team with awesome management skills. While Andy teaches guitar and more, he's mainly the admin person who always goes above and beyond to accommodation his clients. Pam's pedagogical skills are impressive. She teaches piano, singing, directs the Children's Choir (which is free!), conducts .... with encouragement and patience. She's an accomplished musician and artist, perfect for our children! We highly recommend Coastal Music Studio for any music lesson!
Nader is a wonderful teacher. Being a beginner learning the violin as an adult can be very intimidating, but Nader's teaching style, patience and encouragement has helped me to not only really enjoy the learning experience, but also to progress quickly. He is also quite the music historian and has many stories about composers and musicians that inspire a love of music in his students that goes beyond learning technique.
My daughter had violin lessons with Ms Amy for a year. We loved the convenience of having lessons in our own home with a great teacher, as her lessons were taught privately via Skype. Our only regret was that it would have been even better to work with her in person, but seeing as we lived in another state, that wasn't an option for us. Ms Amy was a great teacher! She was an inspiration to our daughter and helped her to love the violin.
Gina is a wonderful violin teacher! She is patient and kind and works at my pace; however, she pushes me past what I think are my limits. I was afraid that taking up the violin as an adult would be overwhelming, but Gina has made the whole learning process a joy! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring teacher with attention to detail.
Richard teaches violin to my 16 y/o son. Richard's easy-yet-scholarly manner is a total win with a student this age. My son's progress has been remarkable. Richard is astute at facilitating the next step at each point of development. He is skilled, encouraging, and engaging and my son is very happy with the lessons, as am I!
Mr. Violin has been teaching my 13 year-old son violin for 4 years give or take. He’s great. He’s exercises lots of patience. He provides variety in lessons, squeezing a lot in one lesson. My son learns scales, classics, and other songs based off his interests and familiarity. He’s always very pleasant. You can tell he enjoys what he does.
We are thrilled to have found Mr. Rotzler. In just a few lessons he has taught our 14 year old things she has never been taught before in spite of having 4 previous violin teachers. Mr. Rotzler is not only exceptionally talented on the violin, but he also knows how to teach it! His dynamic personality makes the lessons fun while at the same time teaching proper technique. He is also very positive and motivating to students of all levels and inspires them to do their best.
Amazing Viola teacher, best I ever had. He has a clear cut teaching style, focusing a lot on technique. He goes beyond the sheet music and is very knowledgable about performance psychology. He's an active performer and is able to share his insight into the industry. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone.
Anthony has been great. Easy to communicate with, a schedule that meets our needs logistically and most importantly my son is really enjoying his piano lessons. I hear progress. We look forward to a long student-teacher relationship with Anthony.
Having just finished my education at some of the finest music schools, I have not only accessed the highest level of training, but have directly experienced what it takes to prepare for a career in music. Whether you simply play as a Hobby, hope your skills will earn you a scholarship to a Universtiy, or aim to enter a top music school with the intention of having a career as a musician, I can develop a plan specific to your level and goals that will get us on track.
Flavia is an amazing violinist and teacher. She has the unique ability to relate to and connect with students and listeners of all ages and backgrounds. I have had the pleasure of performing with and learning from Flavia and from the beginning it felt like we'd known each other for years. Whether you're looking for an instructor or performer, Flavia will provide you with an excellent professional service!
Cool~ wonderful experience
I Found Catie Longhi to be an excellent teacher. She pays attention to detail and is very easy to work with. She has a full command of the instrument and has me playing better than I ever did before. I highly recommend her.

Hi, my name is Misha Borisovsky. To summarize, I have been teaching piano and violin for over 15 years. I see myself as being very good with kids because I am awesome! I live in Banker's Hill near downtown San Diego, but I am willing to drive to my students' house throughout the County. I offer group discounts, location discounts and more.
I teach piano, violin and guitar lessons at my home studio in San Diego, CA. Studio lessons are $30 for 30-minute lessons, $45 for 45-minute lessons, and $60 for one-hour lessons, with tuition paid monthly. I also travel to my students' homes for lessons. Depending on your location, a travel fee will apply for in-home lessons. I believe that learning music should be fun, and I tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and goals of my students. I encourage and assist my students in finding music that interests them and inspires them to practice and improve. All students are invited to participate in peer performance classes and recitals. I communicate clearly with students and parents, and help students set and achieve their musical goals. I have 15 years of experience teaching private music lessons, as well as preschool and elementary school classroom music. I studied music at the University of Minnesota and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a composer, a performing musician, and a vibrant member of the musical community. I perform regularly in a variety of musical groups, including the Summer Januaries and Golden Tree Story, and record as a studio musician.
I have been teaching classical piano for four years. I graduated from New England Conservatory with a bachelor of music. I currently play piano at multiple venues. I have won numerous awards in various competitions in piano and composition. My resume is available upon request. I can teach classical piano, chord piano, composition, music theory, and violin.
My name is Jorge De la Cruz, I am 21 years old, and I am from South America. I started playing the violin when I was five years old, at the National Conservatory of Music (Lima, Peru), studying with Fabian Silva Franco (ex-conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra in Peru) and years later, with Maria Foust (actual Concertmaster of the N.S.O. in Peru). I've played with different Orchestras in my country, and here in the United States. As a teacher, I've worked with a Russian association of musicians, by providing music lessons totally free, for low-income people in Peru. I've worked also in the most important music store and academy in my country for 3 years. I use a suitable and different method for each student under my supervision, getting very fast results and working in their special goals. It focuses on theory and technique. I love teaching music lessons; and under my supervision, you will learn fast! I am perfectionist, my method is proof of an entire life playing the violin.
I offer private piano, cello and violin lessons. I offer 30-, 45- and 60-minute lessons. A flexible approach is available.
I don't fool around with teaching. If the student isn't serious enough, I won't hesitate to drop them. Money isn't my main objective in my work. I love to provide excellent quality of service and I expect students to as well. As far as my other services, I've had much experience in the fields of IT work and wedding planning.
