I started my fitness journey in April 2014 and succeeded in losing 30 pounds through diet and mostly cardio (there was a bit of sissy lala weightlifting going on). When I moved to Roseville I really wanted to learn more about lifting weights and proper form for exercises. BJ has given me just that. I am no longer intimidated walking into the weight room or using the squat rack etc. and feel very confident that I am doing my exercises correctly and efficiently. The one thing I would have to complain about is that BJ despises the fact that I jump rope. To date he has thrown a medicine ball as well as a foam roller at me while I'm jump roping. Something needs to be done about this as it is a serious problem. But other than that and the occasional insensitive "suck it up buttercup!" he is great and would recommend him to anyone no matter where they are in their fitness journey.
We've just had the initial consultation so far but I've signed with her. She seems enthusiastic & well-organized plus I think she'll be a lot of fun to work with. I'm nervous since this will be my first experience with a trainer and she's put me at ease.
I have been training with Vaz for over a year now. Before starting with Fair Oaks Personal Training I can honestly say I never had an exercise program that I stuck with. Being challenged with excess weight, arthritis, and joint damage, my goal is to continued to get healthier. I have dropped #'s but more importantly I have built muscle mass. Vaz has made me feel comfortable and valued from the beginning. Exercise programs are customized, pushing me hard. However I have never felt overwhelmed to the point of quitting, I have felt supported. If something seems too much for me, we discuss and routines are adjusted or reasons explained on why it is important to do what is being asked. The best things about the results from this last year is I have more self-confidence, I now can walk with almost no pain, I can go up and downs stairs without running out of breath, and I am once again strong enough to carry groceries in from the car. Any trainer can show you how to use machines and what exercises get results, but if you want someone who cares about your well-being and wants to coach you to success, then the trainers @ Fair Oaks Personal Training are the perfect match.
My experience with Jay's services has been nothing less of 5 Stars. Jay has been thorough with work out plans and also with educating me on better nutrition habits. Sessions are very intense, client centered, and non rushed. All of his services comes at a price that you will not be able to find anywhere in this area. I highly recommend New Vision Fitness for anyone who is serious about starting their weight loss journey.

Tyrone has been training me for the past few weeks and he has been awesome! I currently live out of state in Montana, so he sends me the workouts and I do them and we check in with each other almost everyday. He also has been advising me on what to eat, and I can already see a change in my body. I think that anyone that is trying to lose weight while also toning their body should take advantage of the services Tyrone provides. He really cares about you, and is very genuine. He takes the time to get to know you so he can help you out the best that he can!
I was very pleased about my training session with Lily. I've wanted to get in shape and start bulking up for a long time now. I never really had the motivation or knowledge to needed to properly gain weight in a healthy way. Not only do you get personal training but you also get some good advice about what not to eat and what to eat which is worth so much. Lily has the experience and knowledge to help anyone meet their fitness goals with reasonable concise planning and at a fair price. Body transformation exceeded my expectations over the course of 6 months. I learned how to diet and lift weights properly while also learning I didnt need to do as much cardio as I thought. I lost about 15lbs of fat, gained muscle, and feel much stronger at work. Tasks that were a struggle for me in the past aren't anymore and I feel much better overall both physically and mentally! Bryan was my trainer and he guided me past that 200 lb mark into the 100's during my weight loss journey. He pushed me hard during our workouts but did it sensibly staying mindful of keeping my body in balance and working to strengthen my deficiencies. I felt sweaty, tired, and accomplished after every session. Now that I'm a trainer I consult Bryan frequently whenever a difficult situation arises, as he has over a decade of experience and I trust his judgment implicitly. I have recommended him to countless others and will continue to do so because THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF!
I absolutely love everyone at Aspire Strength and Wellness. Everyone is welcoming and doesn't make you feel like they are judging you for your lack of experience. There's a ton of support from not just the trainers but from the clients as well. All in all I loved going to ASW and can't wait until I return!
I trained with Nsima for about 6 months and glad I invested in it. My schedule is hectic and he did his best to cater to it. His knowledge and expertise built my confidence because I never entered the weight lifting part of the gym. Now, I'll go because I'm confident in how to execute the workouts. While exercise is important in any fitness goal, diet actually weighs more. I was allowed to eat what I wanted (in moderation) as long as I stayed within my "numbers", aka macros, aka macronutrients. Nsima did an assessment in the beginning that is based off of age, weight and goals. Any food or drink you consume contains protein, carbs, fat and fiber. As long as you met the numbers and incorporated exercise regularly, you're golden! I wasn't the best at consistently reaching my numbers so my progress took a little longer than I wanted. Nsima holds you accountable by reporting and tracking on a Google Sheets document on a daily basis. I also wasn't good at this so again, my progress took a little longer than I wanted. All in all, I loved my personal training sessions because I'm the type of person that is not motivated to workout unless it's an appointment. The price point is good but is definitely an investment. Knowing how to do the workouts efficiently and effectively is very important to prevent injury. I definitely recommend personal training if you're not motivated to workout on your own but want that rockin' bod or to looking to take your current fitness goals to the next level.
Alex is the real deal. He is well versed and knowledgeable on nutrition, weights & conditioning. Alex keeps the workouts challenging and rigorous with a mix of weights, kettle bells, ropes & cardio. I've been working with Alex for a year and my agility, strength and stamina have improved greatly. If you are looking for personal or group training Alex will set you in the right direction to reach your goals. Alex is easy to work with, knows his stuff & wants his clients to succeed.
Ken Karnack, owner of Old School Fitness, has been my online coach since March 2011. I am 43 and up until I was 30 I was in incredible shape. At 30 I got married, had kids and I forgot about me. I ballooned up to 280 lbs from 220 with a 29" waste. I did the weight loss diets, doctors etc for years. I started looking for help 10 years ago. I started having health concerns. Vision loss from phentermine diets, blood pressure over 153/110 and just plain out felt like I was dying a slow death. Being a former athlete and knowing what I was capable of made it worse. I came across Ken and what he has done at his age and said I could do that. So I contacted and determined to make a change. Ken has knowledge and experience and knows how to fix me. In my words I am broken. Quitting is easy but Ken keeps me on course and is more than a fitness and diet guru. He listens when I want to quit and throw the towel in. I am 249 now and stronger than I have been in years. For the first time I know I found the answer and it was not a tv show or fad diet. It was Ken Karnack!! In the end it will be because of him I will be able to say I am in the best shape of my life and healthy again. We are going to 220 lbs. This is a journey and Ken my navigator. I trusted him with my life and he is making it possible for me to set a positive example for my kids that they can do anything and how to stay healthy. My 13 year old son was fat when I started this. He watched me and he started to care about himself. He is lean right now and happy. So Ken has helped me in many ways and continues to. I cannot tell you what he has meant to me and my family!

I love the downtown Adventure Boot Camp! I had noticeable weight loss after just one month. The trainers are great and the atmosphere is fun and encouraging. I wholeheartedly recommend it for any age or fitness level, and I say this as a woman over 50. Give it a try -- you will be so glad you did!
AK is an exceptional trainer! Generally, most trainers in the market are driven by the money from their clients. However, when I trained with AK I noticed an immense difference. The guy is extremely caring for his clients but he also displays a high level of candor as well. I wish I could give him 10 stars but I am limited to 5. Definitely recommend his services!! -Isaac
She is an amazing personal trainer. I was afraid to work with someone because I didn't know what to expect. I had just had a baby about 6 months ago and wanted to get back in shape for the summer. I had tried it on my own and just couldn't manage to lose the weight. Deb was able to kick my butt back into shape in no time! I am no longer afraid to sit at my community pool in a bikini! It surely takes the stress off me! She gets right to the point but she does it in a fun manner and the workouts are never boring! Challenging and fun, doesn't even feel like working out! Who could have known? I would recommend her for sure!!
I have been a client for 14 years. Mike has helped me lose weight (30lbs) and keep it off! I play tennis and ski he tailored my routines to keep me fit for my favorite sports.
