Stephen Macht officiated our wedding ceremony, but he was much more than just an officiant. He gave our ceremonyand the entire daythe feeling of warmth, openness, personality, and distinctiveness that we wanted. We wanted a wedding based in Jewish values, but we did not want a traditional ceremony, and Stephen was very open to this, working with us to make our ceremony customized to our blended family background. Stephen worked with us to come up with vows that were humorous, offbeat, personalized, and true to us and our values. Its no coincidence that Stephen is a classically trained actor with a years of stage, film, and television experience, and a PhD in dramatic literature. He has charisma and stage presence, and he captivated our guestseven the kids! He injected humor and personal stories into his words, and made everyone feel at ease. We felt that our wedding was unique and memorable, and it wouldnt have been the same without Stephen!
When my wife and I were cold-calling wedding officiants, we weren't sure what exactly we were looking for, but hoped we would be able to find someone who matched our unconventional style. When we spoke with Rev. Doreene for the first time, she made it clear that she believed in love and made us feel special. She read her version of vows to us over the phone and my wife and I both ended up in tears- we originally wanted to write our own, but Doreene's version was so beautiful and touching that WE JUST KNEW Rev. Doreene was the right person to marry us! She provided us with a wonderful ceremony guide and allowed us to add in a couple symbolic ceremonies like the sand ceremony and water blessings. She even learned some phrases in Hebrew to accommodate my wife's Jewish ties! She made our day so meaningful and special! I'm so glad we found her!
My husband and I had a mixed wedding and Sharone was very open to working with a second officiant, a Lutheran minister. She did a great job of infusing our wedding with some Jewish touches and explaining the significance to those that were unfamiliar with the customs. She is also a very down to earth person who does a great job of helping her brides feel comfortable which is very important as you get stressed out towards that big day.
Brad officiated my wedding and did an incredible job. I'm Christian and my wife's family is Jewish yet he was able to comfortably include everyone in the ceremony which everyone loved and appreciated.
My Husband and I used Brian as our officiant for our non-denominational ceremony in 2012. Brian cooked up the most amazing vows that were unique and beautiful. His sense of humor, and fun, witty personality made the ceremony a joyous experience for the guests. He was easily accessible, reliable, and very reasonably priced. Our wedding ceremony was everything we wanted, and he made the moms happy with a couple inclusions that satisfied my Jewish mom and my Christian mother-in-law. He even found a nice Shakespeare sonnet to include. Everything was tailored to our needs and personalities so that it wasn't just anyone's wedding ceremony, but ours. I will recommend Brian Dwyer over and over again to everyone I know getting married. Without him, our wedding ceremony wouldn't have been the same.
Adam was incredible! He really made our wedding a special, something-to-remember event. His demeanor was great. We like to have fun, so his light-hearted dialogue really put us at ease and made us feel as relaxed as we possibly could, while all eyes were on us. He had the perfect mixture of seriousness and fun, and he was very eloquent and subtle when he read our vows and devotions. Even though my wife was born into a Catholic family and I was born in a Jewish one, we consider ourselves more spiritual than religious. Our wedding was a not religious specific, yet Adam helped us incorporate the religious customs (e.g., breaking the glass) that we desired to experience into our service. We thoroughly believe that Adam was the best choice for our special day and that choosing him to minister it was a great choice. We know he will make your wedding a very memorable and enjoyable experience. So hire him now! Adam, you rule!
Suzanne and Jason were married by Rabbi Gary Spero on June 17, 2012 in Huntington Beach California. Rabbi Gary really made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole wedding process. Rabbi Gary is a very warm person with a great personality and fabulous sense of humor as well. Our family and friends expressed over and over to us that Rabbi Gary officiated a wonderful and heart felt wedding service for us. We were very blessed to have had Rabbi Gary officiate our wedding ceremony and we would definitely recommend Rabbi Gary to anyone who is getting married in the future.
Charlie was the celebrant for Debra and I back in 1992. I am a humanist, and my wife is Jewish, so Charlie helped us to design our vows. Outside of a traditional religious wedding, where much of the ceremony is already set up, coming up with one's own vows takes some work and could be stressful. But Charlie's kindness, warmth, and sense of humor, coupled with his knowledge of philosophy, religion, and poetry made the whole experience transcendent. It will be our 25th wedding anniversary in 2017, and we have already asked Charlie to help us renew our vows. We can't wait! David & Debra Beadle
Rabbi Stan Levy has been a family friend for over 20 years from teaching, to bar mitzvah, to our recent wedding. He performed our wedding ceremony, carefully guiding us through the process so that the end result was a wedding that was uniquely ours as well as one that our family absolutely loved.
Thank you Rabbi Harvy for making our wedding so special! All our guests loved your performance and entertaining personality! You are so very kind and sweet. We could not have asked for a better wedding officiant & Rabbi to perform our wedding!!!
