Sedat is a very patient teacher. He is enjoyable to work with. He is great at teaching no matter how much experience you have. He has great teaching skills and is incredibly talented. I have only taken 3 bass lessons and I have learned so much and can't wait to learn more. I highly recommend Sedat for anyone who wants to learn guitar.
Tammy is a wonderful teacher who excels at bringing out the best in me. Lessons with her are fun and rewarding. Before taking lessons from her, I thought that learning to play the piano and guitar as an adult would be difficult and tedious. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Thanks to Tammy, playing music is a delightful joy in my life.
I am 55 years old and have always wanted to learn to play guitar. A good friend referred me to Harry and I am so glad he did. Harry was patient and made learning fun. I would recommend Harry to anyone seriously looking to learn guitar.
I learned more about playing the bass in one hour with Dave then years of playing around with a guitar. extremely professional and a wonderful teacher I highly recommend lessons with Dave.
I started taking guitar lessons from D.D. a couple of months ago and have learned so much from him in the short period of time. He's a great teacher, with a lot of patience. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who's interested in taking up the guitar.
My name is Thomas. I've been playing guitar for over 15 years now. I want to teach students to play what they want while also learning the basic fundamentals of guitar. If they want to learn their favorite pop song I'm going to teach them it, if they want to become an amazing guitar player I will teach them how to become that as well.
My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Tony for the past almost 3 years. My son has gone from zero knowledge of guitar, to being really good. Tony comes to our house which is great--- and we all look forward to hearing the lesson and the obvious progress. Tony is patient and calm and a great teacher!
I found Jim at Music Village on Santa Teresa and Snell, and I was very pleased with Jim's professionalism and flexibility. My son had fun times learning from Jim. I would strongly recommend Jim.
I have always followed both paths in Classical guitar and Electric guitar. My passion for music has lead me to explore most styles with the same excitement. I was also very lucky to have the best teachers when I started to learn guitar, as well into classical or in electric guitar. To meet some of the best guitar players can change your mind and change the way you teach. Since, I am dedicated to bring to my students what I had the chance to learn and I do it with passion.
I share my musical experience to help you be a better bass player. You choose the style, and set the expectations. I'll take care of the rest.

I've been playing the guitar and have been in bands for as long as I can remember. Music is my passion as well as my life. I've been teaching for about five years now, and I'm working on a music program for kids. I'm really enthusiastic and eager to teach, so let's work together and see how far we can go!
I teach children and adults piano and guitar lessons. I have 3 years of experience teaching and studying music in college.
I've been playing guitar for seven years, and I've taught guitar for two years. I've learned many styles of playing like metal, blues, funk, pop, and jazz. I would be happy to help people out with their musical journey. It would do me wonders as I'm about to start college and would really use the money in my benefit. I also teach music theory such as scales and chord theory. I am a quick learner, so I can teach whatever you like because I believe it's important for a student to learn from lessons that they enjoy rather than in-depth lessons. I also speak fluently in Hebrew if that helps. Please if you have any questions or concerns, call me. I'd be glad to hear from you. My rate is $25-$30/hour, depending on location.
I am still very active in the music scene so my lessons incorporate all past and current styles of guitar playing.
I teach guitar, bass and occasionally ukelele and have made my living doing so for over 20 years. The average tenure a student spends studying with me is approximately 3 years. I am also a performing musician and a composer. Please visit my website to find out more.
Hi everyone, I am a multi-instrumentalist offering beginner/intermediate guitar, bass and drum lessons for students of all ages in the South Bay area. Many studies show that learning a musical instrument helps improve performance on cognitive tasks, increases the capacity of your memory, fosters your self-expression, boosts your self-confidence, relieves stress and above all else is fun! I am 27 years old and have been involved with various bands and session gigs throughout the Bay Area. I have been playing drums for over 16 years and have approximately 11 years of experience with guitar and bass. I have had many great experiences over the years in teaching music to friends and family. I recently began offering my music instruction services professionally and have had a lot of success with students as young as 7 and as old as 56. My lessons are structured based on your level of experience and musical tastes. I find that it is more fun and effective to integrate music lessons with a student's favorite music. You will not only be learning how to play an instrument but will also learn how to play some of your favorite songs along the way! After a few of my beginner guitar/bass lessons, you will be able to learn the following: Identify and play basic chords Use different beginner guitar/bass techniques such as bends, hammer-ons and tremolo picking Perform basic maintenance of your instrument such as tuning by ear and restringing your guitar/bass Read and interpret guitar/bass tablature Ultimately, my goal with every student is to help make music a lifetime hobby for them. I understand that learning a new instrument can be very intimidating for some people; instead of focusing on more complex topics like scales and music theory, my aim for beginners is to help build up their confidence by teaching fun songs, iconic riffs, fun beats and cool techniques that show immediate results. I offer one-hour instruction of the instrument of your choice (guitar, bass or drums) for $35. This is a flat rate, and I will not charge extra if you have friends or family who would like to learn alongside you during our lessons! Guitar/bass lessons can be taught either at your home, my apartment or a place of your choosing (i.e. coffee shop, park, etc). Drum lessons can only be taught at your home. I have extra guitars that you can use for the duration of our lessons if needed. Please shoot me an e-mail if you are interested, so we can discuss your availability, level of experience and music tastes. Thanks!
My name is David Lees. I teach guitar and bass, both acoustic and electric. My specializations are in modern and classic rock/pop. I am originally from Manchester England but in the last three years, have been living in the Bay area for three years now. Background: With over 10 years of experience in group and individual instruction both here in the U.S. and in England. I have taught both children (as young as six) and adults in schools and privately. I also play the drums, guitar and bass with different bands on both sides of the Atlantic. My teaching philosophy: I specialize in working with absolute beginners to intermediate levels. Learning and playing music that they love and can relate to, is important in teaching students to play music. This way, the students can maintain their enthusiasm and motivation for learning, and continue to make progress. Students learn the fundamentals of guitar as they play and learn to play their favorite songs. We discuss the student's preferences in music during the first lesson. From the information I gather during the first lesson, I will create a customized lesson plan for the student. For the students to reach their musical goals, it is important for them to be have fun and enjoy the lessons; it is also important for them to be challenged in their individual skill levels. In the past I have worked with students whose musical tastes include The Beatles, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Metallica, Muse and many more.
