"Feeling strong now. The first 30 years of my life I was lucky. My lifestyle and genetics kept me pretty fit. The next 30 years I played the yoyo diet thing, gaining 50-60 pounds and loosing 50 pound (3 different times) without exercise, thinking I beat the system. But each time the weight came back I was fatter and weaker. Diagnosed with Diabetes I was told I needed to exercise. I tried to do it in my own but continued to give up on myself. I started working out with Jennifer once a week. It was hard, I wanted to give up or at least have her modify my workouts but she encouraged me reminding me often that I could do it and I was worth it. I did it. I often said things like "I'm too old" but the " look " reminded me that negative thinking is not the answer. I increased my workouts to 3 times a week realizing I need the accountability. Jennifer pushes me to do what others my age would never attempt, she encourages me and believes in me. She is patient but not a pushover. After almost 3 years, I'm so much stronger at 65 than I was at 55 or even 60. I take less medication and desire to get off all of them.
