I've worked with Justin from the Kula Team for personal training for the past six months. The dedication and passion he has for health and fitness is evident. From day one he works with you on a plan to achieve your goals. He incorporates fitness, diet and recovery into his plans to make sure you get results! He continually changes up the fitness routines to make sure your fitness levels keep improving. Each month we set a focus, a goal and reflect on the past month. Ive seen trainers in the past who very passively watch their clients. Justin is very involved making sure you have proper form and are being challenged. His feedback is effective and well-researched. When I had some issues with shoulder tightness I came in the next day and he was ready with some stretches and techniques to help target that! The Kula Team also has an amazing meal prep plan to get you started or to help you continue on the right path to health. Their bowls and snacks are tasty, varied and affordable! A little information about me. I've been overweight most of my life and have tried countless programs to lose weight and to regain my health. One thing I had never tried was personal training. In December 2016, I found Scott Meade through Thumbtack. Scott was the first Personal Trainer to respond to my inquiry. I felt an immediate connection with him. He invited me to meet him at the gym on a Sunday. He wanted to give me a tour of the gym and for us to have a casual chat. As an obese female, I was extremely nervous to meet him. He made me feel at ease and I appreciated the time he spent with me talking about his passions; exercise and nutrition. I sensed how genuine he was. His excitement is what jumpstarted my excitement to begin this journey with him. I started training with Scott on January 2nd. Here are just a few reasons why I need Scott besides me on this journey: 1) The guy knows his stuff. Not only is he physically fit, but he's also smart. He stays current in his field and never hesitates to share new information to help develop my knowledge. He doesn't just tell me what to do, he provides reasoning and teaches me along the way. 2) He believes in me more than I believe in myself. He never allows my mental blocks to stop me from doing my best. He's positive and encourages me to tap into my positive spirit. Not always easy. 3) He's responsive and organized. He stays on top of my nutrition and provides feedback on what I'm doing well and what I need to change. He doesn't sugar coat things because that's not how we achieve results. Totally makes sense. 4) He's creative with his workouts and thinks outside of the box. Workouts are never repetitious which helps keep me dialed in. I like the variety he incorporates in my plan. 5) When I'm in the gym with him, it's about ME. I could go on and on about Scott. If you're looking for a Personal Trainer, reach out and meet him. My experience with Sean was very helpful in my overall quality of mental health. Having Lyme disease with symptoms that are primarily neurological has made my thoughts and decision making very hard to cope with but working with Sean has drastically improved these issues I deal with on a daily basis
Rock was a fantastic trainer! He took his time with me to find a workout plan that would work for me. He pushes you hard to get the results that you are after. His workouts are always changing and coaches you on your total body fitness (nutrition/strength training/cardio). I started seeing results in just a few weeks using Rock as my personal trainer. Amanda is absolutely above and beyond amazing in every single regard. She has such genuine care and love for the health of everyone. I have couple months training with Armando and I totally believe I made the right decision. During the last 5 years Ive been putting up some weight and no feeling too proud about it, especially because Im short and weight started to cause some foot and knee pain. Ive always postponed work out, it was not my priority but after training with Armando, I feel like I need to go for a session every day so I can get my Feeling good dose. Armandos positivism makes my work out enjoyable even though he pushes me and takes all my energy with every exercise. Armando has motivated me to keep going and give 100% every time we meet. He is professional, he listens, analyzes every piece of information I give him and he even suggests a relax/stretch session to get rid of stress I bring from work. When I first started, he analyzed my measurements, goals, posture, time and health and came up with a plan to target my problematic areas. I have only couple months training and I can see a few changes already. I feel more energetic and with the desire of keep going. Armando makes sure I have the right posture/form and execute moves in a proper way so that I can get the best from my workout and benefit from every move. I thank Armando for his support and guidance in every session and especially for pushing to keep a good nutrition. I would recommend Armando if you are serious about your work out. He is a great trainer; you will get the best of his knowledge and enthusiasm in every session.
I had a profound and transformative experience with Laura Wilson's coaching. In only one session she was able to bring something to light that I had spent countless hours with other, healers, therapists, coaches and consultants to try and uncover. I loved the way she used a process that involved us talking and me moving my body. During that session I had the awareness of what was trying to emerge in my business ( My authentic self) and, I was able to make massive shifts afterward, that allowed me to initiate a huge uplevel personally and professionally. Michael was my trainer for about 8 months. I was completely out of shape & over weight but he made me feel comfortable & gave me the confidence I needed to loose 50 lbs. He also coaches local high school basketball so he has a huge span of knowledge. So wether you are older or younger, overweight or just looking to tone, I would highly recommend him. He also has a great sense of humor so the time really does fly.

Justin is a very knowledgeable and inspiring trainer. He helped me reach my goal of improving my cardiovascular fitness and overall mobility whilst educating me on how to incorporate weightlifting into my program. I did lots of research on personal fitness trainers in the south bay area. I found Ron’s website, researched his training program and emailed him in regards to more information. He returned the email promptly and within the week we were meeting and discussing my goals and starting my training sessions the next week. Ron provides a complete package that is easy to follow yet aggressive to the goals that you are wanting. I have been with him for 9-weeks now and he has exceeded my expectations in a trainer. He is there by your side correcting your techniques; assist when needed but never lets you gives up. Each session he challenges you and provides positive reinforcements to keep you motivated. I am moving forward meeting my goals and Ron has helped provide me with that. Great trainer, very knowledgeable and a great mentor for getting yourself where you want to be physically and mentally. I would recommend him to anyone no matter what stage of fitness you are. He has set a great foundation for my future goal. Can’t thank him enough. It has been four years since I have been with Built Better Fitness and it was the best change I have made health wise.
