Working with Jessa has been such a wonderful experience! I hadn't considered private/small group yoga sessions before finding her on Thumbtack but it has really expanded my understanding & interest in the practice. She is incredibly mindful and is always sure to check in with you to make sure you're getting the most out of her instruction. If you have any injuries or soreness she will show you alternative poses and makes sure to keep the sequence challenging enough but still within your ability. It's really cool to practice yoga specifically curated to your level - not like gym yoga or giant "all level" classes. If you're into it, she will also open practice with a short guided meditation to get you grounded, I hadn't had much experience with that before but I've found it to be quite beneficial! Lately I've been going to her new group sessions at the Felton Commons across the street from New Leaf on Highway 9 in Felton and it's a cool small class that is "all level" but it's still intimate enough so you still get the personal attention of a private lesson. I love it! Jessa had been such a gift and she makes me love yoga more all the time :)) do yourself a favor and try her out!
Excellent combination of yoga + fitness exercises, customized to your very own needs.
In my experience, it seems to me that Sonya Padron is a PERFECT yoga instructor. She combines an iron-clad knowledge of yoga with a profound and gentle intuition . My body’s uniquely out of shape, partly because I don’t always care for it as I should. Yet every week, Sonya manages , in her delightfully non-judgemental way, to understand my exact needs in that moment, and respond in a way that’s both healing and joyful. I’ll often take a walk after our morning time together, and I’m always surprised how completely my body has awakened, how open and fluid everything feels, and how deeply ready I ‘ve become for all that the day might hold.
Carissa is a lovely person and I highly recommend her for Pilates and Yoga! A+++
We had private yoga session at home and she is excellent and knows what asanas to do to get relief for some of the silly pains. I recommend her.
I am taking private yoga lessons with Amanda twice a week and OMG, what a privilege! Once I retired I promised myself that I would use my hard earned money to do something special for myself. One of my desires was to find someone who could help me get back to myself after so many years of giving to everyone else. I was skeptic the first time I met Amanda because I was so much older than she but after 10 minutes talking with her I knew I had ended my search. She put me at ease immediately as she listened patiently to all of my requirements without interruption. I have taken many yoga classes in my 65 years (both private and group) but this is the first time I have been fortunate enough to have found someone who can teach me how to tap into my total self. My experience with Amanda has been phenomenal. She is a truly devoted teacher with an in-depth knowledge of the true philosophy of yoga. Amanda shares her skills and experiences in a kind and non egotistical way. I come away from each session in touch with myself on so many different levels. Amanda is not just a yoga asana instructor she is a true yoga teacher. I am very fortunate to have become one of her students and always look forward to our time together.
My introductory yoga session with Ashley was a fantastic experience. She was very flexible on time and place, and suggested we meet in the park for our early morning session, which turned out to be a great choice. She's got an awesome personality, positive and energetic, and she's very knowledgeable and passionate about yoga. I'm really looking forward to our future sessions.
After reviewing her website & qualifications, as well as her videos, I could see that she has a very calm energy, & was knowledgable in the area of yoga I am in search of. I looking forward to trying her class.

I am a Santa Cruz based yoga teacher, and I have been certified by the Yoga Alliance since 2008. Since then, I've been dedicated to providing yoga classes that allow people to connect their mind, body and soul. I provide group and private classes to beginners, intermediates and advanced practitioners. I focus mainly on proper alignment to avoid injury and conscious breathing to create more mindfulness and joy. The practice of yoga has blessed my life since 1998 in many ways, keeping my physical body strong as well as flexible, my emotional and mental body better able to cope with stress and negativity and my spiritual body radiating more ease, joy and love.
I offer private and corporate yoga classes to those who are beginning yogis and those who are more seasoned yogis. I have a background in vinyasa, pre/postnatal, yin, and restorative yoga. I can tailor the class to suit your needs (physical, mental, emotional). Furthermore, I integrate my studies in somatic awareness and meditation (M.A. in holistic counseling) into my yoga teaching, as I am also a marriage and family therapist trainee. I have been leading meditation workshops for five years.
Each and every single body is uniquely different from one another. I believe in customizing a personal yoga sequence for your varying needs and interests, using over 400 hours of vinyasa yoga certification and numerous workshops on acroyoga, arm balances, and restorative yoga.
I am a Vinyasa Yoga teacher, with a foundation in dance and massage. I weave my dance background, a playful attitude, and love of movement into every Yoga class. As a teacher I aim to create space for my students to explore what brings them joy, freedom, and strength in both their practice and their lives. I offer private one-on-one and group classes. I especially love to teach outdoors - in the beautiful beaches and forests we're lucky enough to live near.
I give one hour of power to strengthen and stretch your body. Take time for you clear your mind. What makes my business great is to see my clients satisfied that they took the time out for themselves to bathe in yoga love.

Years ago a low back injury brought me to yoga, after many years of practice, trainings and self exploring I've been able to learn and understand how yoga can speed up recovery and improve anyone's life in many different ways. I come from a competitive sports background and I understand how it feels to not feel flexible, I can addapt a yoga practice to any body type. I do have extensive knolwdge in prenatal and postpartum yoga, yoga with baby, toddler and kids but I can offer a healing and mindful practice for any stage in life.
I'm now taking on consistent individual and group Vinyasa flow classes. My classes are heavily rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa and tantra. I can give you the sweaty work out you want or a relaxing, stress reliving, hour and a half to two hours of gentle yoga for beginners! Through individual classes, students are able to get 100% attention from me, allowing refinement and proficiency to both come quickly and naturally. I'm a 200-hour newly certified yoga teacher from highly accredited senior Vinyasa teacher, Mark Stephens. I can also teach meditation and pranayama to those interested. See you in class!
