My daughter is a 9th grader at Point Loma High School. She transferred from a private Catholic school and has never seen the Integrated Math that they now offer in the public schools system. She has always battled math anxiety and I was very worried with the new math being offered. I was referred to Nina from a mutual friend right before school started and my daughter instantly bonded with her. She felt so at ease with Nina and she explained things in a way that she could easily understand. Nina even went so far as to attain a copy of her math book and reached out to her teacher. I am so very happy to say my daughter received an A her first semester and is maintaining an A in her second semester. I have recommended Nina to other students who are having a positive result as well. If you are looking for a math tutor - Nina is the best!
I love how you can split your hours between different tutors. I was able to use some hours for chemistry, some hours for math and some hours for English.
Excellent!!!! I would highly recommend Fabian for tutoring or translation work.
I found Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services of San Diego Coast to be a very reliable and allows for quick access to quality tutors. The tutors are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Desiree, the Area Director, is a great resource as well when I have looked for guidance on questions with students, as I am a Special Education Teacher, and for my own children. I highly recommend Desiree and her tutors as a teacher and a parent!
Our math tutor was great!
My daughter has been working with Diane since about October last year. I have seen such an improvement in her math skills. Math no longer intimidates her and she is confidant enough to do homework on her own. Thanks Diane!!
Last year, we hired Kerry as a Math tutor for my step son who was in 6th grade and we were very happy with her services and his improvements. Kerry is a great tutor; she is experienced and patient and I highly recommend her.
MathWizJohn’s has been such a tremendous help throughout my college years, and I am forever grateful for the tutoring and guidance I was able to receive through this organization. Ever since my freshman year (currently a junior), this program has helped my friends and I succeed in some of the most difficult classes at SDSU. Accounting 201 & 202, Econ 101 & 102, Math 120, and Fin 323 are just some of the classes I have received tutoring for. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is struggling with his or her studies--not only in mathematics but in any course you’re having trouble in. I am now on the Dean’s List and active in a few academic clubs on campus, and I wouldn’t be here without the help of MathWizJohn’s! -AhnaMia Business Major SDSU
We haven't actually worked with our tutor yet, but Colette has been fabulous! She responded to e-mails promptly, answered our questions, met with us, and worked out a schedule that works for everyone. So far, we couldn't be happier!
Brendan is awesome with our son. He manages concepts and makes math fun and practical and interactive. Brendan is clearly a teacher who is motivated by seeing kids learn. Very happy Mom!
Jazmine has been my tutor for 3 years now in the subject of math. She has been excellent when it came to providing the help I needed. She is very enthusiastic about what she does.
If you are looking to boost your grades or understanding of course material I am here to help! I will work with you through your academic difficulties and get you back on track. I will not do the work for you! I want you to be able to excel and get work done even when I am not around. I am comfortable tutoring all subject areas up to the high school level. I am a college student so I have taken most of the more challenging high school courses. Chemistry, Biology, Math (up to Geometry), Spanish, ESL, and Physics are all areas I can help with.
My goal is to teach students how to understand and work through certain concepts they might have trouble learning in the classroom setting. I assure you that any student can really have an easy school and career, but only with the right help.
I am a college Math/Music major from Haverford College and I tutor from elementary to high school. Tutoring Subjects: All basic Math, pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, pre-Calculus and Calculus. For students who want to get ahead, I can help them learn concepts beyond what the classes teach. Reading, grammar and writing fundamentals. Biology, Chemistry and any history class from Greek history to AP US History. Music Lessons: Beginning through advanced instruction in: ~Trumpet ~ Clarinet ~ French Horn Music theory basics and ear training. As a multi-instrumentalist, I can help your child find the instrument about which they are most passionate. I've had nearly a decade of experience playing clarinet, french horn and trumpet (as well as most other brass and woodwind instruments) in jazz bands and orchestras. I've coached students and been a private teacher for the past five years. I believe strongly in establishing a strong understanding in music theory but incorporate aspects that keep the student interested in their instrument. I additionally give lessons in film production, photo editing and computer/software use.
