Why I love Shape Up Studio...There are several reasons. First of all, there is something about that gym that feels different. There's really good energy and the atmosphere feels relaxed and fun at the same time. All the trainers are so kind, approachable and very knowledgeable. I've been going there for a few months now and have gotten to meet Markshane. He's very dedicated, professional, and filled with energy. He takes the time to really listened and help you reach your goals, whether it's loosing weight, training for an event, or simply keeping an active lifestyle. I also love my 30 minute circuit class on Tues & Thursdays with Vinny. That class is super fun and you go at your own pace. Getting massages with Christine, the massage therapist, is also a treat-Especially, when it's in the same building. They have a nutritionist there as well that can guide you and keep you on track. A lot of the comments below definitely resonated and seems that there is a commonality: and that is a great place to train with the support you need. That is why I love Shape Up Studio! P.s. Oh and did I mention it's always clean?!?!!!!! There's a container of Clorox Wipes in each machine!!! Come check it out! There's a complimentary trial day to see if it's a great fit for you!

I am so glad that I was able to choose Dustin R. as my personal fitness trainer. He works extra hard to meet and surpass our weekly goals. I am amazed on how dedicated he is to training me each session because he's always out early to set up and prepared all my exercises for the day. What I like most about his training is that he's always motivating me to go that extra inch no matter if I'm down to my knees. He not only trains me alone, but has also does group training for my friends and I which makes me work twice as hard. If you want results, have a healthy diet and be prepared to train hard with him for your best results.

I recently did a private instruction session with A. Doyle. It was my second time ever doing yoga and I was intimidated by the atmosphere of a gym class. Allison's instruction was the perfect alternative. I didn't feel self-concious at all. I learned classic yoga poses and breathing techniques. She tailored the lesson to my beginner level and was very attune to my particular strengths and limitations. She had alernative poses ready for me in the case that something was too challenging, so I never felt like I "couldn't" do the lesson. She was attentive to correcting my form (making "adjustments") so that I had a good foundation to start on. I feel that in a group class I wouldn't have gotten nearly the personal attention. She takes her time and even repeated the lesson once we were finished (without my asking) so I could try it at a different pace and with my new knowledge. I appreciated that she didn't watch the clock or appear rushed in the least. She seems to truly love what she does and is perfectly suited for private instruction. Her rate is more than fair for the quality of instruction you receive.

I hired Tom initially to get in shape for my approaching wedding in Hawaii, which I then continued for 3 months after as the results were excellent. Tom pays attention to your goals, habits, metabolic type, and physical abilities. His diet suggestions and diversity in workout routines kept things interesting and fun (as fun as working out can be at first!) Tom's knowledge of CrossFit training, weights, and various other disciplines set him apart from your typical 24hr fitness trainer. He was willing to be flexible with my work schedule and was always available for a quick call or text. Tom provides encouragement, support, and puts together a solid plan to achieve your goals. I would highly recommend Tom for anyone hesitant or intimidated by the gym and or initial commitment of getting in shape.

I've been doing personal training since 2010 through many different trainers, my all time favorite was with Brittany. I went through a phase where I wasn't conditioned to training, had gained weight and wasn't use to lifting weights. The first time we trained together, I thought it was really weird but she made it of importance about my breathing and posture and didn't just get right back into lifting like I use to. A couple sessions later, I really actually felt a difference because she made it important to recondition myself and make sure that I breathe properly while I train! She not only made me feel physically fit, she was a great person to talk to, and made me feel great while I worked out and constantly pushed me to be a better person. I wouldn't ever want another trainer, and when I'm done with my break from training, Brittany and I are going to be back out there hitting those new PR's!

Through Jon Sanchez Fitness, I have received one on one training where I have been able to improve in all areas. He has also trained me on the turf working on agility drills and sprints, and I have noticed a tremendous difference in my endurance and fitness capability. I did a lot of research on the internet on Fitness Trainers before deciding on Colby and was thoroughly impressed & satisfied with the training program he set out for me. I loved the professionalism of the whole experience; his knowledge, work ethic, the FACILITY & STAFF. It was not a "meat locker" but people with a common purpose working hard to attain it. What I love was Colby was 100% on me in training ... no wandering eyes, answering phone with other clients and NEVER gave me the sense he was board with what he was doing. Always encouraging and keenly aware of what I was going thru mentally as well as physically. Though I have moved out of the area, I still hitting him up with advice and help & he always responds ... he is the man! Try that with some of the other trainers after your contract is up! Highly recommend him to anyone that is serious about their training on ALL levels. I am no pin up model lol. Thanks Colby!

I have been training with Zack 3 times a week for about 6 months now. Zack is awesome! He is constantly changing up the workouts to best fit my needs and is super flexible to accommodate his clients as best as possible. After having broken my pelvis playing D1 soccer, Zack has been helping me recover through a very specific strength training program. I've definitely seen my strength, mobility, and agility improve since working with him.

“Amanda Zizzo is a beast! She is tough, competent, determined, and enthusiastic. She’ll push you mentally, physically, and emotionally. Because of her guidance and help, I’ve lost weight, I’m stronger, I have better stamina, and balance. I’m more confident and healthier than before. Amanda, thank you for being you! She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She is one of a kind!” Abby was set up on a two-month program with me and once we started training, the transformation had begun! She consistently worked out 4-5 times a week and followed the plan I had given her. On top of the workouts, she maintained a healthy diet by following her macro count and nutrition guidance. Abby made sure to stay on top of her cardio program as well, which was 3-4 times a week, including some HIIT (high-intensity interval training) cardio. She is so driven, and has put a lot of effort into her fitness journey. She began to have more energy and strength, wore a bigger smile on her face, and had more confidence. With her positive mindset and dedication to the workout program, she has dropped 15 pounds. I am so happy that I could help her with her transformation, and guide her throughout the experience. The greatest part is that this is only the beginning of her fitness journey! We are still training to this day, and she continuously strives to be better. I am so excited to see what goals she can achieve and how far she can go!

I am on week 11 with training with Tyler. He is overall a great trainer and friend. He is responsiveness is superb as I am able to text him to ask him any questions I need and he is flexible with my schedule. He gives great feedback and I am never afraid to tell him what workouts I am enjoying and which I am not and he is very willing to work with me to meet my needs. His knowledge about the human body and about fitness is extensive for being an undergrad in school and I feel confident in what he says. I would/ and have recommended Tyler to my friends who are looking to hire a personal trainer and I plan on working with Tyler for time to come!

I’ve been training with Armin for several months and I’ve been very happy with the progress I am making. When I started with a few goals in mind, he put together a regiment tailored to exceed those goals and has also changed the routines to keep the workouts challenging while focusing on different muscle groups. I have enjoyed having Armin as a trainer because not only does he keep me motivated, but also helps keep me accountable for working out every week and even has helped motivate me to stick to my diet.

I've been working out with Beany for about a year and a half. She is a highly knowledgeable personal trainer and very personable. In my time training with Beany, she learned what I liked and what worked for me. She has been a blessing in disguise because she has motivated me during really hard times such as starting my postdoctoral fellowship program and planning my wedding. I'm a difficult person to train with but Beany has not given up on me- pushing me hard enough to workout and continue making healthier life choices. She combined interval with weight training and introduced me to boxing. When I didn't feel like working out, we would hit the mitts and that has been some of my most memorable, fun, and de-stressing workouts. If you need someone to motivate you and keep you on track with your fitness goals, I highly recommend Beany as a trainer.
