My name is Hillary, and I'm the owner of EmpowerHerbyHillary. I used to be a "cardio bunny". The stair master, treadmill, and elliptical were my favorite machines, and I'd use them all in a single gym session (in that order). The weight section intimidated me beyond belief. I didn't know what to do or where to start. When the world shut down in 2020, I didn't have access to cardio machines anymore. Going for long runs bored me, so I bought my first pair of dumbbells, and they were only 3lbs. That's where my strength journey started. I became a NASM certified personal trainer in 2025, and began working on building my company, EmpowerHerbyHillary. I created an 8 week program that progresses from bodyweight exercises, to resistance bands, to dumbbells. My program is designed for women like me in mind.
