I highly recommend GreenTree and Sidney!! Coordinating piano lessons and other artistic endeavors with Sidney was an effortlesss and pleasant task. He made it happen and initiated some remarkable lessons. GreenTree is on speed dial for our next visit to OC.
A mom recently recommended Coastal Music Studios - she said her boys loved it. I was doubtful as to whether our shy middle school son would feel comfortable enough to learn to sing in a group (He has a history of speech delay and some difficulty with articulation). Pam, teacher/owner, noticed he was new and asked the kids to say hello. The kids were friendly, excited to sing and enthusiastic. I was completely amazed watching my son during the first choir practice. He looked confident and happy. Afterwards, our son (who has a learning disability) said it was the first time he felt like his brain knew exactly what was being asked of him, and that he had so much respect for the teacher since she was kind AND a good leader (i.e. not one negative word/threat said to a group of ~ fifty 2nd-8th graders). Needless to say, our son immediately started weekly voice/piano lessons. I notice he is more willing to do his homework, and is more excited about life/learning overall. Also, the songs that Pam chooses for the choir are very uplifting (non-religious). My husband and I are thrilled to have found this studio - I highly recommend Coastal Music Studios.
I really enjoy my violin lessons with Yohan. He brings a lot of experience and is very encouraging. He is very energetic and fun to work with.
My experience with Linda was very positive. Linda is a very patient, knowledgeable, and mild mannered teacher. She is clear and concise with direction and explains things so that my sons understood what they were doing right, what they needed to improvement on, and what the expectations were. Linda was punctual and ready at my sons lesson start times and had each of their sessions well planned out. She is dedicated to them learning piano and seeing them progress. I would not hesitate to refer her service to anyone who wants their child to learn music.
We had a couple of piano lessons. Mr. Crespo is very knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. He works well with children. Music lessons online offer the convenience of being at your own home without unnecessary travel time.
Richard teaches violin to my 16 y/o son. Richard's easy-yet-scholarly manner is a total win with a student this age. My son's progress has been remarkable. Richard is astute at facilitating the next step at each point of development. He is skilled, encouraging, and engaging and my son is very happy with the lessons, as am I!
Mr. Violin has been teaching my 13 year-old son violin for 4 years give or take. He’s great. He’s exercises lots of patience. He provides variety in lessons, squeezing a lot in one lesson. My son learns scales, classics, and other songs based off his interests and familiarity. He’s always very pleasant. You can tell he enjoys what he does.
I have recently started to take violin lessons with Ms. Zabenova. She is knowledgeable, patient and observant. Ms. Zabenova is able to see my strengths and weaknesses. Her teaching style is clear and flexible. I am looking forward to working with her and making progress.
Anna is a very passionate and talented teacher and musician. After attending a recent recital, I was very impressed with how well her students play and with how she interacts and teaches them. My daughter is too young for lessons currently, but I am looking forward to the day when Anna can become her teacher.
Both of my kids have improved intonation and are happy with their teacher. Combining violin and piano is for sure a success.
I hired her her for my daughter. Margo is very professional, caring, always communicates. She also have such a positive attitude. Margo is extremely responsible and patience. I will absolutely recommend her.
My Mom really enjoyed her first class and is practicing throughout the day. I can see your love for music.. My moms a bit rusty but she's doing great, and loves playing. At 85 picking this back up isn't a challenge because you make it look easy. Thank you Yvonne

While I love performing, my true passion lies in teaching violin I have been trained in violin pedagogy through a program offered at Biola University. I specifically love working with children. In my past experience with teaching children, I have had the privilege of seeing their simple joy and eagerness. I believe that children can best thrive and learn if their learning styles are catered to and if they are loved. One of my goals as a teacher is to discover how I can best help the student learn. Is the student a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner? Does the student better understand the technical concepts if I use helpful analogies? My greatest goal as a teacher is to love my students. Originally, Suzuki initiated his violin teaching program not for the purposes of raising musical prodigies (which incidentally ended up happening), but for the purposes of nurturing children into noble souls who eagerly engaged in the pursuit of goodness, beauty, and truth. I believe that since goodness, beauty, and truth are inherent in music; it has the potential to transform someone's life. However, without the catalyst of love, music can be rendered to a mere means of selfish gain. I believe that it is through the unconditional love that parents and teachers offer their kids/students, regardless of their skill, that the students begin to explore the beauty of music. As far as my teaching methods are concerned, I prefer using the Suzuki method to teach beginners. The Suzuki method is a highly esteemed violin pedagogy method that allows students to play pieces by ear (as opposed to reading music). I believe that the Suzuki method allows the beginner students to concentrate on technical concepts and ear training skills without the added complication of learning how to read notes. About half way through book 2 (out of the 10 suzuki books), I like to introduce the student to note reading with supplemental sight-reading, rhythm, and etude books. While there are 10 suzuki books, I will only teach up to book 5. After that point, I like to choose pieces that will best suite the student's technical needs. I also like to supplement the Suzuki books with additional positioning and scale books. About me: I have been studying the violin since the age of 5. I have studied at the Colburn school of music in Los Angeles with Dr. Chan Ho Yun and I currently study with Elizabeth Larson at Biola University (Violin Performance Major). My achievements include: soloing with the Loma Linda Academy Chamber Orchestra, leading the Biola String Quartet, performing in a masterclass taught by the world renowned Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), and performing with the Biola Symphony Orchestra as assistant concertmaster.
I don't fool around with teaching. If the student isn't serious enough, I won't hesitate to drop them. Money isn't my main objective in my work. I love to provide excellent quality of service and I expect students to as well. As far as my other services, I've had much experience in the fields of IT work and wedding planning.
I am a music major at CSUSB. I offer violin lessons to young students and adults, beginning level with violin. The student can either come to me, or I can go to them.
I have been playing piano for 20 years and cello for 15. I can tutor both instruments as well as music theory.
Present I teach a variety of private music lessons ranging from flute, saxophone, drums, trombone, piano, voice, trumpet, violin, guitar and jazz improvisation in my private home studio. I create unique lesson plans for each of my students to keep them motivated and working towards their goals. Owner and Director (Guapacha Productions, California) January 2009 Present Guapacha Productions is an entertainment company that represents Guapacha (big band Latin jazz/salsa group consisting of 13 members), the Gil Tower Latin Jazz Trio and Quartet and also produces music for film, TV and jingles. I am in charge of composing scores, directing, performing, promoting, booking, and putting together small music ensembles and solo musicians to perform in venues, private events, festivals and restaurants. I also offer creative designs for CDs and/or flyers, photography, video and editing, putting together band EPK's, designing artists websites and maintaining the different groups social websites.
I teach piano, voice, violin and cello lessons in a relaxed but professional atmosphere. My home studio is warm and inviting; you must love little dogs! They love kids and people in general! I teach kids of all ages, teens and adults how to read treble and bass clef, play piano, sing, play drum rhythms, or play the violin or cello. Music is healing and fun! It's a great tool to build a child's self- esteem. I have been teaching all styles of piano and voice for 40 years, including traditional music reading, rhythms, fingering for piano, and techniques for great position, pitch and tone on stringed instruments like violin and cello.
My students receive a music education that is tailored to fit their needs as a student. Unlike many teachers who teach all students with one method, I am interested in what the student wants to pursue and why they enjoy music. My students will not only study classical piano or violin, but will learn music theory, develop ear training skills and improvisational skills, and learn to play with a beautiful sound from the very beginning. Students will be encouraged to listen to and play music that they love.
