Christine Hebert is the most conscientious, best prepared, pedagogical language teacher I have ever worked with. I have worked with Christine on two separate occasions. I hired Christine 12 years ago to teach my children French and a year ago to teach me German. Thanks to Christine, my children who are college students now obtained a solid base in French and still sing the French songs she taught them back then while accompanying them on her guitar. As for myself, Christine custom-prepared German lessons for me keeping up with my demanding style and requirements to where she would email me after only a few weeks into our lessons Hermann Hesse poems. Christine modifies the level, the speed and the style of her teaching sessions to fit her student's needs, personality and mood. She is truly a gem of a language teacher and I recommend her highly. NZ, Del Mar.
My Spanish instructor is patient with me. She understands what I need, and she makes our lessons fun. I've learned a lot in a few months and can now talk with other Spanish speakers.
Philip is great--a very dedicated tutor. He sent me several options for language programs and gave really helpful homework lessons, as well as many tips on the culture and alternative ways to pick up language (good French movies to watch, music, games, etc). Very nice man and great tutor!
A happy well informed geek and music guy who solved all my problems with my Asus laptop and who took the lead in getting the part needed. In addition he answered all my questions with patience and expertise. A brilliant engaging young guy: he replaced my DVD drive and intalled a malwear guard in addition. Fair prices. I am very happy and wish him succes in his future career.
Tamara is an excellent German tutor. She is very dedicated, knowledgeable, and organized. She puts a tremendous amount of effort into each lesson, not only during the session itself but also in preparation. She always brings a compilation of useful study materials based on the students needs and areas of focus. Fantastic job!

Within the scope of language teaching I facilitate speaking ability at a quick pace, and it is done in such a manner that students are able to comprehend the concepts imparted to them and therefore construct sentences independently and accurately so as to grow into the target language. My translation work is performed with accuracy and feeling for both the source and target languages.
Erika from Euro language services has helped me with my learning the German language immensely. She teaches me to learn it correctly so that I can apply it in daily situations where the language is spoken. She is a very encouraging, patient, and understanding Professor. She definitely enjoys teaching the language and as a result I have gained more confidence in reading and speaking the Deutsche (German) language. I without a doubt recommend her to anyone who wants build a solid foundation in the spoken and written German language.

I have lived and taught English abroad in Costa Rica and Brazil, as well as traveled throughout Europe and South America. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. For the past couple years, I have been teaching kids classes (as well as tutoring adults) anything from creative writing to art, Spanish and geography. I am a very enthusiastic and creative person, which helps me bring very unique and fun activities to class. I always accommodate my lessons based on the student's level and specific need or interest just like for example, if you need to learn English for business or work or perhaps you need to learn some conversational Spanish for traveling. Everyone is unique so I like to make all of my lessons unique as well. No matter what, we always have a good time!

My name is Stephen Riley, and I am a traveling music and English teacher. Along with my wife, Annelisa Riley, I have been working for the past two years to hone in on what makes the English language easy for some and hard for others. After working in China for a year teaching English to students ranging from age 1-12, Annelisa and I began dreaming and scheming of ways to improve the process of learning English while having a lot of fun. Both Annelisa and I have been deeply moved by music and involved in the creation of music from early in life. Now, we believe we have found a way of teaching that speaks for both us as teachers and you as students. Everyone loves music, and everyone needs to communicate to have long-term success. Our curriculum uses classic folk music and contemporary songs to bring the student deeper into the English language. By focusing on the poetic lyrics of folk music, we are able to bring the student a more compulsory understanding of how to form sentences and adequately express themselves. Then we begin working with the student on learning to play some of these songs, focusing on guitar chords, strumming patterns, and for the more experienced students, harmonica playing. Finally, we work with the student to create an original piece of music in English that they can be proud to call their own work of art. Riley School of American Folk Music is not just about learning to speak the English language. It is about learning to create.
